I highly doubt that Sallis goes to either Creighton or Nebraska. More likely another blue-blood program, like Kentucky or UNC.
Did Tommy LLoyd recruit him to the Zags? If so I'd imagine Arizona would have a good shot.

He was going to NC until Roy retired, Maybe Arizona Tommy Lloyd recruited him to Gonzaga , Dark horse here Iowa State really liked them out of HS also.I highly doubt that Sallis goes to either Creighton or Nebraska. More likely another blue-blood program, like Kentucky or UNC.
Obviously the only reason for N here is close to home.Sounds like the top 3 for Sallis at the moment are Arizona, Bama, and NU.
Fred develops guys for the NBA. There is no question about that. Delano Banton, Bryce McGowens, Georges Niang, Monte Morris. That's a pretty solid track record.Obviously the only reason for N here is close to home.

Creighton only has one player in the portal, but yeah I have to think several of their bench guys won't be back. Fred King and Mason Miller are really the only two subs they couldn't shake a tree to replace.Jays have had a couple guys leave already.
Is Sallas a guy worth throwing NIL money at? I’ve never seen him play.Creighton only has one player in the portal, but yeah I have to think several of their bench guys won't be back. Fred King and Mason Miller are really the only two subs they couldn't shake a tree to replace.
Sallis been underwhelming at Gonzaga. But still, he's getting significant minutes at a top 10-ish team. So Creighton would certainly find a spot for Sallis if he's interested. Hell, Fred should personally drive to Spokane and help him load the moving van.Is Sallas a guy worth throwing NIL money at? I’ve never seen him play.
highest rated recruit in the history of NE high school hoopsIs Sallas a guy worth throwing NIL money at? I’ve never seen him play.
I understand that. That doesn’t really answer the question though. Fred might have no choice but to go after him but can he live up to the hype?highest rated recruit in the history of NE high school hoops

I didn't say Sallis was coming to Creighton. I said if he was interested, Creighton will find a spot for him and he would get plenty of minutes.Hes's not leaving Gonzaga to sit on the bench at Creighton, if he wanted to do that he'd just stay at Gonzaga, Gonzaga is a much better program than Creighton obviously, his move is all about playing time, starting......
Scoring-wise, he would not. But he's a good combo guard that Fred could pair with Lawrence.I understand that. That doesn’t really answer the question though. Fred might have no choice but to go after him but can he live up to the hype?
Thanks for the answer. I guess that makes you an analyst now. I respect your opinion. I’ve just read too many people critiquing his skills who probably don’t have a clue.Scoring-wise, he would not. But he's a good combo guard that Fred could pair with Lawrence.
If Fred puts some talent around Lawrence, I really think he could be an all-conference player. But that's a big if.
Depends what you mean by hypeI understand that. That doesn’t really answer the question though. Fred might have no choice but to go after him but can he live up to the hype?
I can't believe you're actually having to make a case for Nebraska wanting Sallis. We wouldn't be having this debate if there were rumors that Traudt was interested in playing at NU. Has he done anything to live up to the hype? Do we think he can score? But because Few hasn't made Sallis part of the offense at Gonzaga and relies on him to be the primary guard defender... what... he's no good? What a joke.Depends what you mean by hype
He’s not Kevin Durant, but he’s a player who belongs on the court with and against blue blood programs
His offensive ball skills need to be developed. He dominated in high school due to pure athleticism. Kid can jump out of the gym and has great length. Fred told him he reminded him of Demar Derozan out of high school. Is Sallas a guy worth throwing NIL money at? I’ve never seen him play.
That's pretty much where I am. I doubt Gonzaga will really miss Sallis, but my God look at NU's roster. If Fred can grab some players better than Sallis out of the portal, that would be fantastic. But I'll believe that when I see it.Good Lord…if Nebraska gets him he’ll play every minute. Is this really being questioned on this thread?
I’m no Sallis fan as I thought he was wildly overrated and the 2nd best player on his high school team, but the kid can play, especially for freaking Nebraska.
Some of us have never seen him play and have read repeatedly on this board how he wasn't a good offensive player.Good Lord…if Nebraska gets him he’ll play every minute. Is this really being questioned on this thread?

Yea, I was surprised too, figured he be starting next year for the Zags..Him leaving really surprised me. He was playing 20 minutes a game as a sophomore and played a lot during crucial games. Gonzaga is a great program. I will say I think he was really over rated at M North. He's a good player but not a 5 star. Creighton has to be the #1 contender
I'm no expert but have watched him play numerous times. It seems pretty clear to me that he's been a good soldier and has focused on doing the things that Few has asked him to do. Gonzaga hasn't asked him to score. He handles the ball, plays defense, and can get to the hoop and kick to the corner. He's just not anywhere close to the focus on offense with Gonzaga, and that's probably a big reason why he's leaving. I admire him for being a 5-star that has seemingly played his role with zero attitude for two years. It's rare. Some of us have never seen him play and have read repeatedly on this board how he wasn't a good offensive player.
And that still means he’d be good to great at Nebraska. We‘re talking Nebraska. Some of us have never seen him play and have read repeatedly on this board how he wasn't a good offensive player.
He would be the highest rated recruit to ever go to NU. He would be the best player NU has had in 20 years. He would average 10 points a game and playing in the g league in 3 years. He is not going to NU. Just like Joe Burrow never wasAnd that still means he’d be good to great at Nebraska. We‘re talking Nebraska.

Wasn’t Bryce a 5 star?He would be the highest rated recruit to ever go to NU. He would be the best player NU has had in 20 years. He would average 10 points a game and playing in the g league in 3 years. He is not going to NU. Just like Joe Burrow never was
What does being skinny have to do with anything...He was really good by Nebraska High School Basketball standards. He was nowhere near 5-star talent, though. Those are usually the 1-and-Done guys. With as skinny as he was, it was pretty clear that he was not close to being NBA ready, let alone a Lottery Pick.
I did expect him to be better than he has been, though. He's only averaged 4 points per game playing in a very weak mid-major conference, and shooting 26% from 3. I expected him to at least be a double-digit scorer in the WCC. If he struggles this much in a terrible conference, I don't see why people think he would be a star in the Big Ten or Big East.
Durant is skinny and 7’. Big difference. Sallis is big enough thoughWhat does being skinny have to do with anything...
Shall I remind you of this guy you may have heard of...

I actually don't think that's Psalm 23. I'm not an expert though.Creighton making room for Sallis? Would suck if they got both Traudt and Sallis.
