Hence why I doubt we will find a guy who is only known for their 3-3-5. Unless they are also the right fit. That's what we do now.

All DC's already run a nickel defense of some sort. It's a matter of committing to it as your base defense. I favor a four man front with more size up front like the Steelers run, a 4-2-5, and then adjusting to a 3-4 when you go big or 3-2-6 when you run dime. That's what Rhule wants to run and I can't believe he'd take a chance bringing in a DC who hasn't run it. That narrows down the potential DC pool A LOT.
Some of that was LB substitutions as well. Nebraska did not fill gaps properly at times and that led to them getting gashed regardless of who was on the DL.All DC's already run a nickel defense of some sort. The 3-3-5 is fine too and it's smarter to stick with it since that's what we already run. But I get nervous about stopping the run. We got gashed when Ty and Nash were both off the field.
Definitely. But we also had some DL kids in there playing too high and getting shoved around. Some of that was LB substitutions as well. Nebraska did not fill gaps properly at times and that led to them getting gashed regardless of who was on the DL.
