Hoosiers jump to 5th in the new AP rankings

My top teams

Oregon
Alabama
Ole Miss
OSU
Indiana

Crazy to say that

Ole Miss DL can win a championship.
Milroe can win a championship but has really bad off games
Oregon solid but not overly impressive
OSU has best roster in country but seems to sleep at the wheel
IU is bad ass. Winning ugly games are important and they got one yesterday.

And ND could easily be in there too. Great defense and they run TF out of the ball

It is great the literally 4-5 different teams could win it all. Personally, I don’t know who will win it all but I am quite certain it will be either Oregon, Texas, Bama, tOSU, Ole Miss

Any other team will not be able to win 3-4 games in a row in a playoff so it’s one of the 5 above. Oregon or Texas seem most likely IMO

Forgot Texas. They are nasty too but man did they choke at home to UGA

I'm still somewhat iffy about IU as they had a SOS of 103 going into yesterday's game against a really down Michigan. We'll find out about Indiana in a few weeks in Columbus. I think OSU (asleep at times) handles them pretty easy in Columbus with that LOADED roster

I think they’ll beat OSU. Then lose to Oregon.

Indiana will fold as soon as they play a good team, they haven’t played anyone except the last two games, they’ve gotten lucky in several other games. The best over achieving team since Iowa several years ago then ended up losing the big 10 championships and lose to Stanford

Just think, there were (still are) people that cried about a playoff.

Just wait until it hits 16 teams...and the first two rounds are on campus. It is going to be even more amazing.

There is a line fore sure. Not sure what that line is, but at some point it will definitely devalue the regular season too much to be beneficial to the fans.
See I actually feel like it makes the games MORE interesting.

Go back a few years and pretty much every team not in the top 7-8 are pretty much out of it by week 8 or so.

But now you pretty much have 15 teams, maybe more, fighting for spots.

That LSU Bama game would have meant nothing last year, two losses each, they would have been out of it.

Even if that happens, there's now a definite Buzz around that program and their Coach... will only help them get better... Our Beloved team on the other hand better pull something out of their Ass these last 3 games or it's in real trouble

Probably what that team needed to Humble them a bit... Pre-Playoff a loss like that ruins a Championship Run, today, it has the possibility to strengthen a Program to make a Run at the whole enchilada

I saw some videos on it and the bars in Bloomington have lines down the block at 5am. The tailgating is at an all time high, they are sold out for home games.

I am sure being a student on campus right now is awesome.

Tennessee and the whorns could still have 2 losses before they announce the final parings.

Only tOSU will have played the other 3 B1G contenders..

I agree with you. But my point remains, there’s a line somewhere in there that takes it too far to the “losses don’t even matter” ditch which makes it worse, not better

I’ll use a scenario with 16 teams.
Let’s say LSU beats Bama and than they play each other in the CCG and Bama wins..
I know this might be hardly unlikely..Both get in the playoffs what is the point if the two teams possibly have to play again in the playoffs.

College isn’t the NFL or the NCAA basketball tournament.

Might actually take pressure off undefeated and one-loss teams this late in the season and allow them to play looser.

lucky? please help me understand how all of those +14 point victories were luck? Unless you are saying they are lucky that they have a coach who knows how to lead and build a culture combined with players who have bought in and are balling out.
