All week long I’ve been hearing from various Husker related podcasts how susceptible Purdue is to QB runs. I suspect they’ll have a package or two for him, but If they strike gold with it will they stick to it?
Idk who needs to hear this but unless injured Dylan is the QB.All week long I’ve been hearing from various Husker related podcasts how susceptible Purdue is to QB runs. I suspect they’ll have a package or two for him, but If they strike gold with it will they stick to it?
He’ll get involved, but not in place of DR.All week long I’ve been hearing from various Husker related podcasts how susceptible Purdue is to QB runs. I suspect they’ll have a package or two for him, but If they strike gold with it will they stick to it?
Unless you are Eric Crouch or Taylor MartinezQB runs work best when the QB is a threat to pass.
What is crazier is the message it would send to the best QB talent we've had in decades - hey Dylan, go take a seat, we think HH gives us a better chance of beating Purdue. Head up though, we'll probably need you next week against Rutgers. Yikes. Not saying HH gets the start. What I’m saying is what if they have a package for him, and he ends up taking a QB counter to the house for 50+ yards? You’d be crazy not to stick with it.
They need a lot of help blocking. How we don't have 5 solid O lineman by now is mind numbing. We win recruiting battles for guys who don't pan out while watching The Iowa and Indianas of the world have better Olines with low rated guys and walk ons. I love this staff but it has to be coaching. The odds we whiffed on every O line recruit are slim and nonemarcus and uncle donnie need a lot of help scheming and committing to the run game
gimmicks aren’t the answer

This further demonstrates the team and football knowledge on this board. A quick fix on paper for everything. Not saying HH gets the start. What I’m saying is what if they have a package for him, and he ends up taking a QB counter to the house for 50+ yards? You’d be crazy not to stick with it.
703 yards rushing between Notre Dame and Oregon State. I also heard a tidbit that Purdue got back late Sunday night from their road game in Oregon. That’s one less day of rest and recovery for them.PU has let up 600 yards on the ground the last two games.
Is that correct?
If NU doesn't run the ball 40 times tomorrow it will be a huge mistake.

Not that I don't disagree. But our program is in no condition to choose how we win games. So yes we have issues and yes we need to do whatever it takes to win.If we need to bench our 5* QB to try and beat Purdue we have issues.
This may be even more likely considering the weather forecast. All week long I’ve been hearing from various Husker related podcasts how susceptible Purdue is to QB runs. I suspect they’ll have a package or two for him, but If they strike gold with it will they stick to it?
the hurricane may be between stats earsHopefully we’re not playing in a hurricane.
I hope the game isn’t delayed at all. It’s raining there now and it looks like the heavier rain coming in won’t be until the game has finished..
If they don't, it better be because they have 3-4 long ass TD runs.40 times rushing? They won’t.
What do you think will make them change from the usual? If they don't, it better be because they have 3-4 long ass TD runs.
Great play call and designI am in no way advocating for Haarberg to play this weekend. we have to figure it out up front and on the playsheet.
but this was awesome. unquestionably the moment our season peaked last year:
Vintage Tom Osborne playcall right thereGreat play call and design
I would hope...common sense. But then again who knows right?!?!?!What do you think will make them change from the usual?
Seems like anytime we play a team that is at the bottom of the conference in this or that we end up not attacking the weakness.I would hope...common sense. But then again who knows right?!?!?!
Sometimes play callers get caught up in the game and stop calling plays that they should call.
I know, trust me, I know. It is insane!Seems like anytime we play a team that is at the bottom of the conference in this or that we end up not attacking the weakness.
