Haarberg is going to be a heck of a TE

Wow. Did you come up with that all by yourself?

You are really getting ahead of your skis here…
Guess again. If Haarberg had injured a knee last night, that would be the last dunk contest you would ever see. I played college athletics years ago and we were not allowed to do anything like this if we were on scholarship.

I am not against this dunk contest. But it's ironic that it happened right after that danger of the spring game stuff came out.

Believe I said he would be our starting TE next year, and of course I got ridiculed for it. Today, he did better at blocking and a little worse at route running than I expected. I think the route running will get cleared up as he continues to learn the position.
I know this is from December 28th, but there is a difference between getting ridiculed by the board and getting told by @king_kong_ that he is our best QB

The chances of one of these guys getting hurt in a dunk contest are incredibly small. Probably more likely moving stuff into their dorm room. It's not like they are playing a pick up game.

My point is if there is no spring game it isn’t because of a desire to protect against injuries, no matter what anyone else says. That’s just a cover. And to actually think they won’t do any scrimmaging to avoid injuries is just silly.

That's true and I'm glad they are letting them do it. It makes sense.

I agree with you. That's why I asked-- Are they scrimmaging? Yes? Then sell me a ticket to that. I'm just so annoyed with the injury argument. The media guys all brought up those two names of the guys that got hurt and blaming the spring game.... were those even contact injuries?

The question is why do they really not want to do a spring game?

Jc, people have turned into complete pussies.

HH seems like a genuine good fun dude.

Also, converting to TE from QB worked for former Husker Zach Miller and he did it in the NFL and became a top tier TE in the league before one of the most brutal injuries ever.

Edelman did for slot.

This can be done. Pulling for HH. Looking forward to all the HH haters on this board the last few years to eat their words and pretend they weren’t shitty to the kid. Never seems to amaze me the same guys that will rip a kid are the same guys that get their panties in a bunch when you talk shit about a coach.

Hoping he has an elite SR year but really hoping they find he was actually “injured” in 22 or 21 😉
