So is it Fred’s skill at recruiting or lack of NIL? Either way, this is garbage. One decent year last year and now this collapse.

But part of that is due to sleepwalking through the first half. When you’re playing catch-up, you have to put guys on the floor who can’t guard anybody.
Sounds like a soft excuse. Not playing multiple games a week down the stretch is a blessing.

Is it really effort? Or is this team’s baseline just bad? And we have to scramble like hell trying to catch up, even against bad teams? And Williams is mentally exhausted from trying to carry this team all year…
It’s effort. I’ve been b!tching about it all season. It was really high effort and focus at home and close to none on the road. Now they don’t bring it at home either.
Coupe weeks ago people were longing for his return from injury….reality is everyone is so inconsistent.
I think this team plays hard most of the time. But in the first half today they were pathetic. Got out-hustled and bested on every loose ball.
Everybody's talking about free throws but what about all the offensive rebounds they give up? I swear teams get at least three shots per possession. Smh
Omaha clinched the Summit today at least 1 team is a winner
25% from three and barely plus 50% from the line. Not winning many games with those numbers. Hard to believe we had an opportunity to win.
I’m starting to really wonder what this team is like behind the scene. Do they even like each other? Is there a lack of leadership? Taking turns pouting about who’s playing? Starting to feel like an 0-5 end to the season. I’m back to wondering if Hoiberg pulls an Erstad.
100% correct. I think the team plays hard and together. Just not athletic or skilled.

At this point, I’d love to see Omaha win a tournament game before Nebraska. I want the Nebraska athletic department to feel the shame and embarrassment that would come with that
If they haven’t felt shame by now, they will never feel it. And, really, why should they? Every year attendance is great. No need to produce.
UNO winning a game, would be a HUGE story here in Omaha and would dwarf all UNO athletic accomplishments.

NU is the only power conf team not to have won a tourney game. I think we already hit rock bottom in shame department
Does the Summit have a tourney to get the auto bid or does the regular season winner get it ?
I am not sure anyone on this team can guard anyone. One of the worst is Williams, people just blow right by him. We have to be one of worst B1G teams for letting players drive, spot up for open threes or find a man keep him off the boards.
They have a tourney so UNO gets in if they win that OR if St. Thomas wins it because they are not eligible to go this year.
Gary and Worster are NU’s best defenders but it’s hard to put Worster out there when you need offense. I’m certain that’s why Essigian played so much in the second half. Unfortunately, he can’t guard a fence post.
It’s the same story every year in regards to the roster. I’d hate to think how this season would have been without Gary and Williams returning.
Do you expect next years recruiting efforts to be any different?
