Goodbye Al Jazeera

The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact.

Your story is from a website that admits bias right in their title. Try and find someone who at least tries to be middle of the road.

Remind me again how that somehow eliminates the fact that they are deeply connected to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, and still have bias to their reports on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Try to keep up.

Every single news channel is biased in some way. CNN is the Democratic mouthpiece, Fox belongs to the red people, and everyone is reporting their story with their agenda and bias in mind so I am not going to hold that against anyone. Having said that I find their connections to Hamas troubling, and for the record I hope we never let another Muslim into our country and I don't care how somebody feels about me for having that opinion. I have no interest in letting another one in, ever. BUT, I also understand Muslims to some degree, or at least I like to think so. My sister married one several years ago and I have spent as much time as anyone around them and they were all good people and nice and knew how to cook a meal. I spent years around them and came to understand they are wired different, hard to put into words, but they don't act or think like Americans and never will. Imagine growing up in a country that is constantly being shelled by somebody, surrounded with suicide bombers, being forced to flee your neighborhood (multiple times in multiple different places) for fear of losing your life or a loved one to some sort of violence. It's just so hard for Americans to imagine what that would be like. So, because I know they are wired different, because I can only imagine how sufferable it must be to live in some of those places, I'm going to issue some of them a small pass when it comes to the way they conduct their lives. I'm just thankful I don't know what it would be like to be born on the West Bank, or Saudi Arabia, and be surrounded by so much turmoil. But I will also say this, ALJ news channel was the least biased channel I ever watched when it came to the news and they report on atrocities around the world many of our stations ignore, so they do a lot of good keeping some issues on the front page that need to be discussed.

Litespeed, my neighborhood is nearly all Muslim...yes in Tulsa, OK! (I live a block from the main mosque and private school.) I have seen some of my neighbors "wired differently because of their past." However, more and more I am seeing younger Muslims move in or ones who were raised here buying those homes. Some have American flags on their property on July 4th. The school raises an American Flag everyday. Is their allegiance to America before religion? Probably not...but my allegiance is to Jesus before country. Soon, the majority of Muslims here will have been born in this country. I just think your statement above is a bit too broad.

One of the reasons I would rather not let anymore in, is because the ones already here will soon be having babies, and their babies will eventually have them, etc, etc. Fact is, Muslims radicalize at weird times for no apparent reason and the more Muslims the higher the chance of violence. We already have enough for my taste. I am not advocating removing anyone from our borders, but not one more gets let in either.

I don't think a diatribe on the differences between Muslims and Americans was necessary, because even though I think Islam is a sham, and based on the teachings of a sociopath, I don't begrudge people for being indoctrinated into the religion. And that's essentially what it is.

And for the record, I am perfectly happy accepting Muslim refugees from war-torn countries. Not just happy to do so, but it is our responsibility as a country to open our arms to those that have no place to go. But only if they can be properly vetted first. As a country, it is our responsibility for the safety of our citizens that should be paramount, and first and foremost.

Where I do have a problem is supporting an organization that is and has been clearly connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. Fundamentalist Muslims are bad news, no matter how you slice it, and I won't support an organization that supports their propaganda.

I know that Al Jazeera America has non-bias programming, but $$$ still goes into the coffers in Qatar when you watch that programming. And if there is one thing that we know about militant Islam...is that the people will lie through their teeth right after they bomb a restaurant or business district. Fundamentalist Islam should never be trusted. There are verses from the Quran that actually say that they should hide among their enemies and wait to strike at the appropriate moment (e.g. going to flight school in Florida and cultivating friendships, while waiting for your moment of martydom as you fly jets into buildings).
