Edit – Hit the link for full game story as Nebraska outlasts Northwestern, 3-1, in 28-26, 24-26, 25-11, 25-20 dogfight at Devaney:

=========================

Unbeaten Nebraska, newly minted this week as the season's first unanimous No. 1 team in the country, faces Northwestern with a bit of history on the line tonight.

The Huskers (23-0, 14-0 Big Ten) are looking to move to 20-1 in the all-time series against Northwestern (13-11, 5-9) and earn their 16th straight win over the Wildcats. If they do, Nebraska will officially be off to its best start to the season since the 2006 national championship team started 23-0. Huskers have four-time Big Ten POTW Merritt Beason leading the way for the most talented team in the country so...I like their chances.

Match gets underway at 7 p.m. CT and is available on TV (Nebraska Public Media), live stream (B1G+) and radio (Huskers Radio Network, 107.3 FM in Lincoln and AM 590 in Omaha), plus a live audio stream at Huskers.com and on the Huskers app.
