Corey McKeon and Kevin Cosgrove killed the blackshirts.Let’s just call up Charlie McBride and have him settle this. He’ll probably say that the black shirt tradition died a long time ago.
Sometimes I feel like it is a curse to wash away all of the entitled fans who complained about not beating Pacific by enough in the 90s, or not satisfied with 9 wins and a good bowl win. I remember fans melting down that we barely beat a good Washington state team by two scores in the 90s. When those are dead and gone we'll be good again. Thanks Riley and Frost

It would be pretty hard to F up the simple tradition of a Blackshirt anymore than Pelini did in waiting half a season to award any, and getting pissy whenever the media inquired about it.
Pelini had some outstanding defenses as a coordinator and HC. Tony White fielded defenses at Cuse that punched above their weight. White hasn’t had access to the type of talent he now has. The Blackshirts may live up to their name this year.If we could only get those defensive results now. Even the average years.
Im not going to get too worked up until I see the offense having these issues in a real game. It’s a pretty normal camp thing, especially with a new coaching staffOffense was without a lot of guys today: Teddy, Nouili, Betts (obviously), IGC, Washington.
Im not going to get too worked up about the defense winning the day.
Man, I could not stand that big mouth McKeon. Cosgrove's defensive units speak for themselves.Corey McKeon and Kevin Cosgrove killed the blackshirts.
You mean those years where teams set offensive records against us? Name the RB, he’s stillIf we could only get those defensive results now. Even the average years.
A lot of RBs that played against Pelini say Hi!You mean those years where teams set offensive records against us? Name the RB, he’s still

I have no idea how good we will be, but practice just looks different. Dudes are hitting each other, it looks physical and everyone just seems to be putting in the effort.
As much as I love talking about Iowa trolls, Jaemekons underwear, woke beer companies and movies I figured it was time to get back to talking Husker football on the Husker football board.HBK4life doing the Lord's work.
Good to see Kramer and Frank Constanza’s product really take off !
