A broken watch is correct twice a day 🤣🤣🤣I feel pretty good about where we’re at everywhere except QB. Kaelin might end up being good but im concerned about who comes in if or when Sims goes down. I still think Purdy has shown enough flashes to give me some hope that he could get it done. HH is a huge question mark. Unlike some, I’m pretty confident that our O line is going to be much better. I think the learning curve is going to be steep for our defense despite the talent there. I expect them to give up some big plays on duty busts early on.
Yup. Dummies freaking out over recruiting before June always make me laugh. Why I had to bump this thread. Had completely forgot about it.Yeah pretty funny reading @Tetonia & @19Football19 posts.. what 🤡s
I love these historical threads. Keep it up.
😢I'm not going to read through 7 pages, but I hope somewhere, someone enlightened everyone else, by pointing out that if you click on the important part, player average, you see the ranking plummets from 13th to 55th.
Add Brix and one or two more with a couple bumps to our class and it's easily a top 15 to 20 class.
Name we the last time we had a sub-3* average? Even Riley didn’t achieve that low. Frost was Disappointing. Riley was Embarrassing.
For what he’s being paid and as much hype as everyone has given him (HCMR), one would expect him to at least hold par with his predecessors who were by all accounts epic failures. Why would he recruit measurably short of Riley and Frost? Doesn’t make any sense. He did the best he could with what we signed… just not impressed with what he’s done his first full season.
Are you kool-aid drinkers opining you expect him to improve this team with (according to the best metrics) LESS talented players?
Here’s to hoping it improves…
I just love keeping receipts from the beginning of this thread and watch them all slowly fade away with each commit. Absolutely crushed the month of June!!
You may be right… we’ll find out soon enough. Deion brought in the number 1 portal class for the second year in a row. If what you say is true, I expect him to kill it next year.Who cares. What's our transfer portal ranking? That's a heck of a lot more important.
They have a really good reason to believe thisThey truly believe, for example, they can develop a 6'5" 240lb player who runs a 4.7 40 into an elite pass rusher and DE
Oh good, you're here, let the bitching and moaning begin.Who cares. What's our transfer portal ranking? That's a heck of a lot more important.
He's the daytime sober version of Chuck.Oh good you're here, let the bitching and moaning begin.
I was just reading chucks drunk thread. He's the daytime sober version of Chuck.
Solid class for iowa.Where you at @PeoriaHawk ?
@vs540husker - since you only care about total star average, then you must love Deion’ s philosophy!! CU’s got a better class than Miami who signed 3 - 5 ⭐️ and 12 - 4 ⭐️

They have a really good reason to believe this
He wears #7 for the Eagles
And there’s no way he was 240lbs when Rhule & co got their hands on him
It took a hit by losing our 4* starting QB to the portal…..😉Who cares. What's our transfer portal ranking? That's a heck of a lot more important.
It’s one thing when’s it just an Iowa fan trashing our class. I’ll give actual Husker fans some grace for wringing their hands about our recruiting and on field play. It’s easy to criticize posters in hindsight. Not easy to predict future results. As far as recruiting goes, I feel really good about Rhule’s organization and effort. His ability to effectively communicate a vision to recruits is extremely valuable.Yup. Dummies freaking out over recruiting before June always make me laugh. Why I had to bump this thread. He’s rated as a low 3* transfer, below Spencer Petras and well outside the top 25 transfer QBsIt took a hit by losing our 4* starting QB to the portal…..😉

Would you prefer Colorado's 2024 transfer class over Ohio St HS class?Who cares. What's our transfer portal ranking? That's a heck of a lot more important.
Coastal’s QB who started last night looked tremendous. He’ll be back next year. Boise might be his best option. I think ISU has a young returning starter. I heard Arizona as a likely destination yesterday.Boise
Iowa State
Costal Carolina
Vandy
Are the moat likely landing spots per an article I just read. Will be curious where he goes, and I hope he kills it wherever it is

Portal is the true measure of how good a player is. You can tell what other coaches think of a player by if they move up, down, or move to a lateral school. He’s rated as a low 3* transfer, below Spencer Petras and well outside the top 25 transfer QBs

They also have had better coaching before we hired Rhule. I said when we fired Bo we should have just promoted Beck. We would have never suffered 4 and 5 win seasons had we done that. The dual threat Vasko kid they have now has some wheels.Coastal has had a couple of damn fine QB's recently, which makes it all the more frustrating when I watch our QB play the last several years

Nebraska has only take one transfer out of the portal SO FAR this year.Would you prefer Colorado's 2024 transfer class over Ohio St HS class?
Ohio St hasn't taken a single transfer yet so Colorado's overall recruiting has to be much better, right?
This is the way for long term success and building the program. A transfer here and there to plug gaps. Otherwise stability is a huge benefit.Nebraska has only take one transfer out of the portal SO FAR this year.
