Fastest Growing NE HS Sport = Girl's Wrestling

Finally a sport @SomedayHusker couldve lettered in
Lol I step out for a few hours to socialize and I get 3 more nut guzzles from beta chimp on my cojones again. I can quantifiably measure the desperation here by how basic the joke is.

Now this is a cat fight I can get behind. I chuckled at both of those jokes. Keep up the good work boys!!! :D

I was about to say the same. It’s the fastest growing HS sport because it was basically non-existent 20 years ago. If you have 20 female HS wrestlers in a district and over a few years it’s 100, that’s a 400% increase despite the fact that 100 wrestlers is still a pretty small number. It will plateau off (growth percentage) fairly soon.

Yep, I know a school where a bunch of girls went out for wrestling the first year they added it. The next year most of them quit and now there's very little interest among the younger girls in the school.

You must live in a bubble. It is expanding pretty rapidly. Interest in the girls at majority of the schools is astounding

i watched a few of them girls rassle last nite...the beefy ones, and i'm pretty sure they would have kicked my ass on the mat. it was so not sexy.

Considering you were watching high school girls. It probably a good thing you didn’t consider it sexy.

yeah i hear what yer sayin....i'm curious how high school age boys look at some of those chicks doing that stuff...outfits were not flattering, and the quality of rassling looked terrible in the higher weight class. to each their own and good on them for doing it if they wish, i guess, but it was cringe for me. YMMV

For a high school girl to put on a singlet which does not hide much and wrestle takes an enormous amount of courage and confidence that is commendable. Its certainly not a "cool" thing to participate it. Wrestling parents in general are a very intense batch of folk.
I’ve seen much worse behavior from parents in traveling select baseball teams. Just in wrestling there is generally a lot more parent present at one time compared to other sports.

If you haven’t noticed, singlets cover a shit ton more than regular apparel, which is unfortunate for a society that boats a 40% obesity rate.

We actually have boys that were given "girls" singlets and I wouldn't have noticed until it was pointed out. A little more support up top but the boys needed it

It is interesting that girls can’t participate in anything without getting hacked or compared to boys. Girls wrestling is a thing, boys wrestling is a thing. Both are good. Not sure why people struggle
With that so much…
Exactly. My niece's daughter started wrestling last year in middle school and loves it. She's also very good at it, which I'm sure gives her a big feeling of accomplishment. This year she started getting bullied for her choice.

Kids get bullied? No way. Good news is she can apparently handle herself and, if push comes to shove, literally, she can take care of business

I'm still shocked at the increase in the last 3 years. I thought it was just a random local thing.
It is much better to chat with others as your granddaughter competes in 1-3 5–10-minute matches rather than wasting hours watching a bunch of girls screaming and yelling at the same time running all over for an hour or so that is called soccer.
