I caught up with the Plano East DL coach because I had some DMs about some comments about Watts being JC bound. I caught up with the coach maybe 1.5-2 months ago and then the coach was fairly optimistic about Watts' chances to get qualified.
"He's still waiting on his latest SAT score," coach Collins said. "It should be two more weeks before he has it."
As a bit of new information for me to digest coach Collins did tell me this:
"Deiontae double signed with Nebraska and the JUCO. I am not in the office right now so I am not sure exactly home many points he's shy. My fingers are crossed."
Coach Collins told me later that besides Nebraska that Watts also signed with Ft. Scott C.C.
