I don't know if he's a 4 star, and healthy..I'd find room. but we want to see more commitment on and off feild in the futureIF he's back (not sure he would be taken back by the staff) it means he couldn't get a better NIL deal someplace else. I suspect though that the new staff does not want him back which is the risk if you go to the portal. I'd guess he probably had to delete the tweet when he learned he was NOT welcomed to come back.
StuehmAnddddddddd..........the tweet is gone.
Fun fact, SOS heating stood for "Schneiderwind or Stuhm". Leroy Stuhm (sp?) was the original Stuhm. I was good buds with his son Rod. (RIP to both).
Joel Klatt had a video on this recently. He said these kids are getting bad advice because fewer than 20% of them latch on with a new team, thus throwing away a scholarship and an opportunity at a free education at their original School. He also wants a major crackdown on tampering.Meh....wish him the best, whatever happens...but I find it hard to care that much in all honesty....not sure how to feel about kids who take NIL money and never play a down then leave....but I root for everyone to be successful in life so maybe this was supposed to be part of his journey to get there....good luck to him whatever happens.
This is the case with the majority of kids in the transfer portal. They also often land at lower tier schools.IF he's back (not sure he would be taken back by the staff) it means he couldn't get a better NIL deal someplace else. Why wouldn't they take him back? I'd think they'd be excited to have him on the roster.IF he's back (not sure he would be taken back by the staff) it means he couldn't get a better NIL deal someplace else. How fast is he? What has he done at NU? I don't know for sure but I'd guess he likely doesn't fit Rhule's profile for what he is looking for in receivers. So they might be thankful to have another scholarship slot open for someone who fits their needs. Why wouldn't they take him back? I'd think they'd be excited to have him on the roster.
He blew his knee out. Wasn't he in the mix for PT before that? I'm assuming he's pretty fast. How fast is he? What has he done at NU? It said that that Jays were super overrated to start the season.what did tweet say?
New profile pic, and was in husker uni. Also Creighton sucks. 😁what did tweet say?
Sadly if you blew your knee out that might affect your speed and playing ability in the future. IMO it's NOT wise to enter the portal when you've suffered a major injury like that AND don't have a previously established college track record to rely on.He blew his knee out. Wasn't he in the mix for PT before that? I'm assuming he's pretty fast.
You might be right and they want the scholarship to use elsewhere. But he seems like the type of dude Rhule's staff would want to develop.
Maybe a guy who was rehabbing a blown knee that hits the portal button soon after a new coach is named is an impulsive decision maker. If the coach can find a suitable replacement in portal, why have a kid like that on the roster. How fast is he? What has he done at NU? Not like it used to.Sadly if you blew your knee out that might affect your speed and playing ability in the future.
They'd be taking a pass on a ton of kids if they draw the line at impulsive decision making from 18-22 year olds.Maybe a guy who was rehabbing a blown knee that hits the portal button soon after a new coach is named is an impulsive decision maker. I’ll give him a pass. He was a Mickey guy and no doubt he was hoping he would have been the head coach. When he threw his name in the portal it didn’t look like Mickey was even going to be retained as the WR coach. Then you had Mickey’s debacle. That’s a lot for a 19 year old to digest. People need to get over the butthurt of what a 19-20 year old does. It’s possible that he’s sought advice from Mickey or some other coach and he was advised to stay at NU. He got injured in practice. We damned well should honor his scholarship.Maybe a guy who was rehabbing a blown knee that hits the portal button soon after a new coach is named is an impulsive decision maker. NIL is not pay for play
Kid has a unique name, he & the company made a business deal. He didn’t “take” any money, he worked for it
Nothing more, nothing less
I think Decoldest is a GREAT name. One question though. Do we know if it is on a birth certificate or is it a nickname? His momma made him stand out in a crowd for sure.I understand what it is, and I also wonder how many students with zero athletic ability and unique name are offered NIL deals? My guess is zero. I think it's kind of a given NIL's are given to athletes because of the exposure the company would get, if he actually played football for us. But again, I ain't bemoaning the kid for it, isn't his fault his mom gave him a dumb name, and kudos to him for making some coin from it. I just find it hard to care that much one way or the other if he stays or goes because of the situation....but if a rival HVAC company wants to give him even more, go for it.

Tons of college kids also have jobs while they’re in schoolI understand what it is, and I also wonder how many students with zero athletic ability and unique name are offered NIL deals? Mickey must be recruiting behind the scenes. I’m kind of surprised they haven’t terminated Mickey’s contract yet. It kind of makes me wonder if they’re considering figuring out a way to keep him. I’m not sure how but the longer it goes without finalizing his status the more possible it seems to me.
Will be interesting to follow whether they're welcomed back or not.Does Rhule even want these guys back? He seems to be bringing in a lot of new receivers, who have more speed.
I agree with inWV. He put his name in the portal, which means if Rhule can find someone better in the portal (or in high school) he should use Crawford's scholarship for that guy. For better or worse, college football is now a business. If we want to get back to where we want to be, the coach needs to think about what is the best for the team and not keep on lesser/underperforming/damaged talent because they are 19 years old making bad decisions. He got injured in practice. We damned well should honor his scholarship.
I think the obvious answer must be yes, unless they are told the only way back is through walking on.Does Rhule even want these guys back? He seems to be bringing in a lot of new receivers, who have more speed.
I don't think they can while the legal process plays out.Mickey must be recruiting behind the scenes. I’m kind of surprised they haven’t terminated Mickey’s contract yet. We don’t know if all the guys he’s bringing in are going to play WR.Does Rhule even want these guys back? He seems to be bringing in a lot of new receivers, who have more speed.

They found the grass wasn't gonna be greener on the other side. I know UCF and Troy reached out to Grimes
