CharMar Brown picks Miami Co Canes

Just for the record, the article that Callahan used to make his determination was from the Miami site. In that article, he was 50/50 with 2 schools Miami and another team (the other team was not mentioned). Callahan assumed it was Nebraska, but Nakos from On3 seems to believe Cal is in the mix and is actual leading this morning.

I'm on the fence. If we get him, we got a good one. If he goes to Miami, he's not that good. Winking
Love that comment! Regarding Miami, they have had some interesting things going on with backs in the portal. I believe that Smith kid who played for SMU last year was a one year Miami transfer. That kid is a baller. But then Miami brought in that stud RB from Oregon State for his final season and he played very well for them- Martinez. Now Miami is looking to NDSU for a RB- they get good backs down there in Miami. If the Canes want you, that usually means that you're pretty good.

I heard it's going to be one of the schools. Not sure which one, yet. My inside guy will tell me moments before it's announced publicly so I won't have time to relay the info here BUT believe you me, it's real and spectacular insider info. Heard it here first.

Don't muddy the waters!! Eek What do you think Tuco? We getting him?
Now that Rivera is calling the shots with personnel, a couple of big donors are matching $500k donations from other donors. Apparently there were big money folks holding out until Rivera was put in charge of personnel. That happened earlier this week and the money is apparently flowing in again.

So I will stick with Cal.

Even though Cal ran off like 5 RB's?

So two spots below Brown?
Seems so. I was led to believe that Brown was a high flying portal prospect, but he doesn't break the top 20 at his psn.. To compare, Dowdell was the #12 RB in the portal. Looks like CharMar is the #3 available portal RB.

Hard to fault him, he's essentially guranteed a starting job there, whereas he'd have to fight for playing time here.
I agree, he knew he wasn’t going to beat out Emmitt for the starter.
He can expect to lose more games playing for Cal.

Good luck to the young man. I have no clue how good he was/would be at Nebraska. Either way I think we will be "ok" at RB. Not great but "ok".

Let’s revisit this thread in December when the portal opens again, something tells me a ‘forever’ home may still be in play after one season in Cali.
