CU to the big12

I discuss B1G losses and crimes against humanity as they happen

which, I agree, is quite a lot

you seem to enjoy the daily floggings you receive here. keep up the great work
Flogging. Lol. I think there is a good chance you are actually a predator trying to convince yourself you aren't. Or maybe you think this will help you in court someday. Not sure, but no sane person posts that much about sexual abuse on a football board unless they have something to hide.

okay, now I feel bad

you've had so many chances. batting .000.

some people just aren't cut out for this

Not trying to be witty. I think it's very likely you are a predator. No one should think about sexual abuse as much as it appears you do.

As opposed to the guy who is alluding to not decrying it so much right? Like we need to just shut up when it happens because, the news story is enough to curb it like it has in the past right?

My mother was abused by my grandfather's brother and she told about it and back then they didn't do shit. They just ignored it. Just kept her away from him after the fact.

The big ten gets less than what they have coming to them because of people just wanting to move on.

I think I'm going to write some letters my representatives calling for higher penalties to be levied for crap like this against the perpetrator as well as the institutions that do not do enough oversight. So sick of this sick ass perverted conference. It needs a bullet in the head and replaced by something worthy of respect.

You are on a football message board. So no one is making a difference on this board. It's just so-called fans trolling. NU isn't leaving the Big 10. So everyone can accept that or be bitter about that.

Michigan hardly got stomped by TCU. TCU was lucky to win that game. 9 times out of 10, Michigan stomps TCU much like Georgia did. No way in hell that Michigan would get embarrassed like that if they made it to the finals. They would probably lose, but they would give Georgia all they could handle. Michigan is every bit as physical up front as Georgia.
Come on, the 9 out of 10 comments are silly. There is no way to prove them. I could just as easily say that TCU doesn’t get blown out in the title game 9 out of 10 times.

On the other hand match ups matter at the collegiate level be it basketball or football.

And it is one thing to poke fun at Penn St or Michigan with their history of having staff that were sexually assaulting students and young people as opposed to calling a poster, who is doing nothing but calling out those predators, a sexual deviant as you did.

Get a grip

4 to 5 teams within a day's drive, lots of different styles of football, no 1-2 teams dominating the conference.

I know it will never happen in a rich man's world, but this sounds like a fun conference to be in.
I would be interested in that as well, but my conviction isn't strong enough to argue with anyone about it.

Nebraska would have a better shot at winning a conference championship in football and making the playoffs. I think about Texas and OU joining the SEC. Some of their fans are already lamenting the likelihood that both schools could be looking at seasons where they finish in the middle of the pack. The competition in the SEC (and Big 10) at the top level is fierce and only getting tougher. So how bad would it be to take OU's place in the Big 12? The new staff already recruits Texas very well. It will never happen though....

Not joking. Does a day go by where this guy doesn't make all kinds of posts about sexual abuse? It's weird how he can work it into anything.
your opinions have made it beyond clear that you are a sexual assailant apologist

you have posted many times that you believe our values as Nebraskans are much closer aligned to serial rapists than anyone else

now this bizarre angle?

I think it's probably best that you delete your account. you're making a complete fool of yourself voluntarily.

Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana

I would guess all of those schools are within a day’s drive, right? I’m 60 and could get from Omaha to any of those locations leaving Friday morning, arriving Friday night and going on from there. Silly argument.

Bizarre angle? You work sexual abuse into nearly every post. That is beyond creepy.

Absolutely. Beggars can't be choosers. No good P5 teams are going to want to join the little 12, the good P5 teams are trying to get into the SEC or the B1G.
This is true, but in the big picture does this really benefit the fans for those schools? Sure there will be a lot more money (for now) joining the SEC or Big 10, but that money gets spent almost entirely on things that do not benefit fans.

Should I give a sh*t if the associate ADs get their pay doubled? As a fan, all I see is the cost of tickets and travel going up.

Why should I care how great the conference TV markets are when my team isn't even contending for titles in the sports that matter the most to me?

The reactions to this news is so telling, generationally. The boomers on here seem to want to go back to the Big 12, which in my opinion has a better quality of football and cultural fit for NU, but was a conference that absolutely hated Nebraska and treated the school like shit at nearly every opportunity. Take off the nostalgia glasses for a second and remember all those 11-1 votes. NU was always that "1" vote. I hated the Big 12.

Meanwhile, on Reddit and everywhere else where young Husker fans post, the idea of NU ever going back to the Big 12 is met with variations of the phrase "FVCK NO".

As one Husker fan put it over there, "Nebraska and every other B1G team will get $80-100M annually from the newest media contract. Never going back lol"

That pretty much sums it up.

Just win. That's all NU needs to do. Win. And I suspect attitudes will start changing.

Yeah well, how's the old saying go...

"If you're under 30 and you're not a B1G fan, you have no heart. If you're over 30 and not a B1G opponent, you have no brain."

...or something like that?

I'd rather get rid of conferences altogether. Have the Top 40 or so football programs leave the NCAA and start their own league. Have divisions that make geographical sense. I know it will never happen, but it should.
I think it very well could happen. There's a theory out there that eventually the Big Boy schools will break away from the NCAA and start policing themselves. Divisions would be formed again based on geography. This is something that would happen after TV revenue peaks and starts to decline.

I rode my bike between Albuquerque and Liberal Kansas that afternoon/evening and listened to the game on my headset over the Huskers.com network. That loss was depressing. If your people could give a shit about the game, then they aren't really Nebraska fans.
That's a long as ride on a 10 speed. You must be one hell of a rider.

I’m 65 but I don’t like to drive no more than 8 hours so Lafayette and Bloomington who be pushing it a bit with 10 hour drives..But yes it can be done with 2 drivers..

So outside of Ames, Iowa, Lawrence, Kansas, Manhattan, Kansas, and Stillwater, Oklahoma, and where are the other games that are closer than the ones I mentioned? I guess now Boulder, Colorado.

Good for you. Do you want a medal? There are three long time rival schools within the Big 12 that are even closer.

Or more like maybe a past abuse victim. There’s way more than most would believe. I think your accusation is offensive.

Which would sort of take it back to the old regional conference design.

thankfully I did not attend Michigan, Michigan state, northwestern, minnesota, Penn st or ohiost, so I was able to escape the rampant diddling.

Can’t say the same for thousands of B1G students covering several decades, sadly.

Many would like to sportswash these transgressions, but the on-field product is nearly as bad as what goes on behind closed doors

Got news for you. “Diddling” doesn’t know any geographic or conference boundaries. No doubt there’s plenty of diddlers in the SEC too. They’re just better at keeping it under wraps. Statistically it goes on everywhere. Well actually California is known as the epicenter of sexual abuse of minors. Some of that is the vast number of undocumented immigrant children in that state.

You perhaps didn’t hear about one of our past assistants who was forced to resign because of getting caught in an undercover sting on a recruiting trip to California. It was known without hard evidence by our state officers that he had an issue before he got caught.

this is a very popular refrain amongst losers & apologists

$1B+ paid out by B1G institutions who employ a certain type of individual raised in certain households and who run in certain social circles

must be a statistical anomaly

Our diddler didn’t fit your profile.

No. I’ve said enough. MS was caught in an underage sting in California. It wasn’t reported by our local media that I know of.
you're protecting the identity of someone you allege to be a diddler? while lumping us in with the disgusting acts taking place all across our conference at a rate inconsistent with the rest of the planet?

weird

this person, if true, deserves to be shamed

if untrue, you deserve to be shamed relentlessly and endlessly for these posts

I’m not protecting him. I’m not sure but I think his kids are still in the area. Not sure how much they knew. He was fired at USC for a similar reason later. With your skills you should be able to figure out pretty quickly who it was. No need to publish his name again and cause his family any more angst. Let go in 2011
