Yeah, if I remember right it was Derek Brown who was the shiftier runner between the two. Both great backs.
What a sad day.
Emmett Johnson has the shiftiness and burst of Phillips. Just not the top-end speed and power. Calvin was a straight-forward speed back with some power.
Don't forget the Packers all time leading rusher. Ahman after L.P..

Emmett has not one part of the game Lawrence Phillips had .I am 60 LP
Was the best RB in Nebraska that I saw bar none.
Trying to tackle him as a sophomore when he was a senior was not high on my list of things to do.

From what I hear from media, CJ was suffering so much that he was in his basement trying to get warm! CO poisoning from a space heater.
How sad is it that a legend has to go downstairs to feel warm??? This is so wrong.

If more people start, or continue, to do that then his death might be able to help others. A sad loss of life, still. Thank you sir for posting the prayer and these words above.
It tears me up when I hear stories like this. I have a house in O sitting empty waiting for the closing. 😕. Probably not more than 20 blocks from where he died.
