Bring back option and power running

Paul Johnson keeps rolling with it.

Rolling to what, exactly? In the past seven seasons Tech has only finished in the Top 25 one time. That's not terrible, but I don't think it would have Husker Nation doing cartwheels.

I would, we were actually relevant back then... Seriously though, we couldn't run that system because the man responsible for that system is no longer here and Riley isn't the offensive mind that Osborne was to run it.

The offensive mind Osborne finished games with 100 total yards in some of those years. Never even had a chance against some of those defenses he went up against.

Yep, it does happen from time to time. He's also well known for beating the daylights out of teams as well as running up the score.

Anybody that just blindly thinks that the option will bring Nebraska 'back' has no idea what they are talking about.

Do you know why the option was so successful at Nebraska? It's because TO was an offensive savant. Without TO running the option and calling the plays, it wouldn't work. Or would at best work as well as any offense that we run now.

It's the same for Oregons offense and Chip Kelly. Oregon doesn't need Kelly's offense. They need Kelly.

I couldn't agree more. Paul Johnson's option is NOT TO's offense. That's why I said there MAY be one or two guys that could emulate what TO did, but not real likely. Frost logically could run it but who really knows. I'd like to see him get the chance though. In the meantime Riley's doing a pretty good job given the circumstances he was faced with. Let's see what he can do with some of the young talent coming in. Should be fun. GBR!

f you watched Clemson, they were excellent at the basics. Tackeling, catching the ball, blocking, etc. I don't know if Nebraska even practices tackeling as it sure does not look like it at times.
