It’s basically the Rate or Music city bowlLiving in Phoenix, I’m hoping for the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
Pinstripe (NYC), Music City (Nashville), Above Game Sports (Detroit), Quest (Tampa) all seem like possibilities too.
Yep with a he expanded playoffs tje smaller bowls need butts in the standsSean Callahan said he talked to the AD and said that worst case scenario we are going to Phoenix for the rate bowl. And if we win Friday we will be in play for the Music City and ReliaQuest Bowls. Basically said that because of our fan draw will be treated as an 8 win team.
The bowl projections I have seen this morning is Phoenix or NashvilleI hope this team gets a warmer weather destination than NYC.

Expanded playoffs AND the trend over the past decade for many seniors to opt out. Of course NU fans are so hungry that even if several of our top seniors opt out, we’ll still travel anywhere.Yep with a he expanded playoffs tje smaller bowls need butts in the stands

My fear is we play TT which is coached by Joey McGuire father of our WR coach.IF we go to the rate bowl, I hope we play an old Big 8 team. KU would be fun (if they get in)
That is who CBS has us projected with..My fear is we play TT which is coached by Joey McGuire father of our WR coach.
Yeah, I would not enjoy that game.My fear is we play TT which is coached by Joey McGuire father of our WR coach.
what's a bowl game? With all the talk of being bowl eligible, what are everyone’s thoughts on where we will go?
Hypothetical.Awesome
Or surf turf. Nashville not that great imo but beggers can't be chosersAnywhere but New York or Detroit.
as I stated when the OC move was made, I'm now not sure anyone can fairly judge one way or the other.Hypothetical.
Say NU loses to Iowa and then goes to a bowl and loses again and finishes 6-7.
Is that progress?
Yes. Going to a bowl game is progress. The monkey is off our backs regardless.Hypothetical.

I think it's hard to argue it's not progress to go to a bowl game.Hypothetical.

I'm interested to see if this program is ready to take the next step up. Winning one of the next two and finishing 7-6 would represent progress. 8-5 would confirm it if staff changes are made.as I stated when the OC move was made, I'm now not sure anyone can fairly judge one way or the other.
6-7 would seem like something other than progress, 8-5 would seem like a tremendous stride.
it's pretty much a restart, which I would consider progress regardless of our final record. especially if more staffing moves are made.
Finishing 8-5 and DH stays I predict that Nebraska would start next season ranked higher than anybody would expect next season like 19th.I'm interested to see if this program is ready to take the next step up. And none of this can be answered until two more games are played, so why speculate the $&it out of it..I think it's hard to argue it's not progress to go to a bowl game.
I think the better question is if it would be an acceptable level of progress.
Exactly when we get to 5 wins next year whenever that occurs in the season tjhe players won’t be hounded by questions on how important the 6th win is .plus we get extra practice for the first time in a While.Yes. Going to a bowl game is progress. The monkey is off our backs regardless.
All I ask is that we not be sent to Shreveport.Sean Callahan said he talked to the AD and that worst case scenario we are going to Phoenix for the rate bowl. And if we win Friday we will be in play for the Music City and ReliaQuest Bowls. Basically said that because of our fan draw we will be treated as an 8 win team.
Nashville would be amazing. That would be a real treat for the fans.Or surf turf. Nashville not that great imo but beggers can't be chosers
You have to squint more to recognize progress in that scenario. At the very least, the fans and players get to experience a bowl game. Considering the drought, that’s still an emotional win/release. 15 practices is a good thing. But there are other factors beyond our final W-L record.Hypothetical.

I didn’t want to say that….Hypothetical.
