Yeah that one surprised me as well. Iowa lost both of their finals match, and they were favored in both.I still can't believe Buchanan lost

Iowa had three in the finals and they lost all three. 0-3.Yeah that one surprised me as well. Iowa lost both of their finals match, and they were favored in both.
Buchanan didn't shoot at all in the 1st and 2nd periods. He had to play catch up. Michigan wrestler was very smart in the third and just dove for legs to hold on for stalemates and burn clock.I still can't believe Buchanan lost
Crap I forgot about Caliendo. 0-3 for Iowa. Awwww shucks lolIowa had three in the finals and they lost all three. 0-3.
The Iowa wrestling board is lighting up over the past few days calling for the Brands' heads. I read their board because most posters are pretty knowledgeable about other wrestlers in the BIG. But, man-oh-man, they can't believe that the Huskers placed 2nd and by a wide margin.Crap I forgot about Caliendo. 0-3 for Iowa. Awwww shucks lol
Wow. I couldn’t imagine calling for Brands’ head. But as I’ve been told plenty of times, people called for Osborne’s head at times too. So I guess i shouldn’t be surprised. The Iowa wrestling board is lighting up over the past few days calling for the Brands' heads. Idk if I’d say they overachieved. Every wrestler in our lineup besides 197 and 285 had been ranked in the top 8 nationally this season. I’d say they finally put together a post season tournament. They have underachieved the plenty of Marches the last 5-7 years. We returned 4 of 5 AA’s from last year and are in good position for 125, 141, 149, 157, 165, 174, 184 to all be AA this year. If they wrestle in Philly like they did in Evanston, Nebraska might take home NCAA runner-up too.Huskers overachieved. It was great to see a sport do that for once. Hoping it continues to the NCAAs, but there is such a fine line. Need about 5 guys to earn AA status (preferably get to 3rd-4th place matches) and we might see a repeat and get runner-up.
I_wa sucks. Loved seeing them underachieve. Illinois and Minnesota overachieved -- at the expense of I_wa.
Penn State was Penn State. I almost thought Kirkvliet had a chance to do something against Steveson in the finals. Boy, was I messed up on that. Steveson is quick, thick, and just flat-out sick. Even if someone gets a shot in on his legs, it has to be at the ankles, but Steveson has way too much balance for that.

I see what you mean. Yeah I agree with that. They outperformed the seedings for sure.Pretty much agree. I think most of them wrestled to their potential. The "overachieving" part was primarily based on the seeding going into the B1G Tournament. I don't think we had anyone seeded higher than 3rd yet had 4 make the finals.
