Big 10 and SEC

Yeah. They can't pass a budget, or even a Farm Bill, but congress is going to get together and agree on college football.

The Big Ten and SEC's practices could violate antitrust laws by eliminating competitors from the market.
However, a bill granting the NCAA antitrust protection was introduced in Congress in May 2024. The legislative branch can grant the NCAA an antitrust exemption, but Democrats are more likely to oppose this than Republicans. sportsbusinessjournal

No 3 loss team should get an at large. That’s a joke. I don’t care who you played and beat. If you can’t beat Kentucky and Florida or vandy and Oklahoma, why do you deserve a title shot?
That should be at the top of the list when it comes to qualifying.
Rule 1: No three loss teams.
Rule 2: All undefeated teams make the playoffs.
I could not care less if the SEC or Big 10 want 4 or 5 teams in the playoffs. Us fans won't see any of that extra revenue. Let the teams that have the best seasons make the playoffs.

..problem with having 12 teams is you will get 3 loss teams in. For some reason people wanted this. Werid.
there is a lot of weird to the cfp process - particularly the committee - but expanding eligibility is not one of them. nevertheless, it would be helpful for one of the lower seeds to win some games, giving credibility to 12, and creating further interest in the playoff. i fear this might become nfl light where no one gives a rip about the divisional playoffs waiting instead for the semis or even just the super bowl.

happy thanksgiving, husker nation.
