That should be at the top of the list when it comes to qualifying.
Rule 1: No three loss teams.
Rule 2: All undefeated teams make the playoffs.
I could not care less if the SEC or Big 10 want 4 or 5 teams in the playoffs. Us fans won't see any of that extra revenue. Let the teams that have the best seasons make the playoffs.

there is a lot of weird to the cfp process - particularly the committee - but expanding eligibility is not one of them. nevertheless, it would be helpful for one of the lower seeds to win some games, giving credibility to 12, and creating further interest in the playoff. i fear this might become nfl light where no one gives a rip about the divisional playoffs waiting instead for the semis or even the super bowl.
