Any updates on the studs on campus this weekend?

I trust the coaches in what they are doing, especially this year. If "Recruit A" doesn't pull the trigger, they said last year that they needed to be more prepared and put more emphasis on recruits that bail at the last minute. That make me think that they have "Recruit A1" ready on speed dial instead of "Recruit B." I've followed the 2018 offers a little bit too to know that they are already getting ahead on developing relationships with those kids. Of course, it all comes down to signing day, but I think we're going to be okay. As I said in another thread, definitely need to get 3-4 top 150 guys to be in the top 15 come February.

One thing that could significantly improve recruiting is to win the bowl game over an SEC team (Even with Ryker, it's not a tall task. Tennessee is 111th in run defense-- Riley is also 7-2 in bowl games). I have faith that the staff will win/be competitive in Nashville and get a decent chunk of these top guys to play here.

Corrion Ballard (JUCO, S): December 14
Thomas Graham (4-star CB): December 16
Quran Hafiz (3-star DB): December 19
Joseph Lewis (5-star WR): Jan. 7, at Army Game
Foster Sarell (5-star OT): Jan. 7, at Army Game
Jamire Calvin (4-star WR): Jan. 7, at Army Game
Chuck Filigia (4-star OT): Jan. 7, at Army Game

So when these young men commit to Nebraska, they won't be able to communicate directly with the Coaches? Strange......... Unless by verbally committing they are allowed a phone call? Any rule guru's have clarification?

I admit I didn't know what dead period meant I guess. I thought calls from coaching staff to recruit was a huge no, Kelvin Sampson be damned, but that a recruit could call any coach he wants. I honestly thought that was the rule..
