Am I the only one not sold on DR?

Wow you are clueless. This is a bad post. Wtf
I think you’re clueless for thinking it was a good call. So we will end it there and move on. If that would have happened in opposite - Nebraska as on defense - I bet you you would have thought it was a bad call. The BIG is out to get us.

I thought the refs picking up the unsportsmanlike conduct flag was bad - huge break for BC, but didn’t matter

Not a big crew but nice try. You just proved that these post cannot be taken seriously. WOW I thought yesterday was bad. You are just doubling down

Haha. You’re funny. Watched the game with 2 former Neb National Champions and Academic All Americans. I guess none of us know a god damned thing about football. You are right - we are wrong. End of conversation.
Hahahaha .. this ain’t the 90s brother. I agree that wouldn’t be called in the 90s. Learn the rules dork

We all know the current roles. One individual breaks down the god damned game every week. At best the call wasn’t black and white. It was iffy (at best). Dork? Ok. Whatever. You’re probably in your 50s or 60s calling a person on a sports posting board a “dork”. That’s a bit wild and wacky.

It was a bad call IMO. Defender started the tackling process and Dylan slid. There was absolutely nothing the defender could do to avoid what happened next. My eyes are fine as is my football IQ.
"Nothing they could have done to avoid it", even if true, is not a standard applied in any other penalty situation.

Team has 12 men break the huddle with a defender running at full speed off the field. QB runs a hurry-up snap and catches that defender on the field 3 feet from the sideline.

There was absolutely nothing that defender could have done to prevent the penalty. In fact, he was doing absolutely everything in his power to prevent it. But he broke a rule and was penalized.

Same with a defensive back playing tight coverage on an underthrown ball. Receiver going up the sideline unexpectedly breaks straight back to the QB right through the DB. Defensive back does everything in his power to avoid the impending collision, but can't change his momentum and both players end up on the turf with a DPI hanky in the air. Happens all the time.

And they error on the side of caution with the qb for years. So easy to watch a replay slowed down and say bad call. Which the play was simultaneous. With the slide and defender launching. That will be flagged every time in live game action.

Ok - I’m done with this conversation. Sincerely, “The Dork”.

I do too. The friend I talked to that blocked for Barrry Sanders for 5 years thought it was a bad call. Everyone has opinions.
You realize if it was a Nebraska defender he would have been flagged for targeting! Now move along back to your kkk rally in Iowa city

Iowa City? You do realize I helped start this site from day 1 right? A lot of blood, sweat and tears from an Iowa fan. I used to get up at 3am to interview Isaiah Fluellen in Germany. KKK rally? So my opinion says I’m a racist and an Iowa fan? JC

I agree on having some concerns about Raiola. I firmly believe that we may have had the same record or maybe even win an extra game this past year if Haarberg had made the starts. But half the team would have transferred after the season. This team NEEDS Raiola to be the man since he is such a driving force in recruiting. We have to ignore the red flags and get on board and hope he takes us back to the promised land because we may not get another shot to become relevant again. So go Raiola!!! (Also remember to keep anxiety scrips full)
Kong is that you?

Do you ask the cops " Do you know who my friends are?" when you get pulled over for speeding?
No. I ask them “Do you know I post on a board with a man that goes by the alias of Tuco Salamanca?” That usually gets me out of trouble.

Hey - how about that comparison of Humm and Tagge vs Frazier’s passing #s? You gonna look it up or do you want me to? You compared rushing but not passing. I compared both with AM and DR freshman numbers. Looking for an Apples to apples comparison.

Has anyone tried a Slngshot band to assist with push-ups and bench press? After shoulder surgery, I can’t do normal bench. It appears the Slingshot would assist the shoulders at the point of greatest load…but I fear it would be too much help and cancel some benefits.

Congratulations. You’re the new public enemy #1. 🤣. My problem with officials usually is just that it’s so inconsistent. It all happens super fast in P5 football and humans are going to make mistakes but man we seem to come up on the short end of the stick too many times on game changing penalties and no calls

I used to own an upper body weight machine. Sold it before I moved the last time. Had shoulder surgery a few months ago and wish I still had that thing.

DR’s accuracy in the short/mid-range throws is very good and he has a big arm. But he is not at all accurate throwing deep. I hope they have him throwing hundreds and hundreds of deep passes this winter. He has to be able to hit on the deep ball, especially those times his WR gets behind the defense. IMO, other than continuing to improve on reading defenses, connecting on the deep throw is one area where we really need him to get better to reach the next level.

you seem pretty confident Walleye. Why don’t you post your real name for all to see if so confident? I have.

You will note that I have “liked” both sides of this argument. This call was a judgement call made at full speed without the benefit that we have of slow motion. Lots of people I respect thought that was an iffy call. The problem for me is that we normally don’t get iffy calls so I’ll take it even if it was a borderline call. God knows we’ve had probably a dozen PI calls or no calls that weren’t right go against us this year. These things shouldn’t descend to personal attacks.

Better individual season is irrelevant. One led the team to a bowl game and 7 wins, one didn't ever get to a bowl game as a Husker.

Do you really want to go back and count games where you could blame losses directly on Martinez? C'mon
We don’t have enough time in the day to go back to games lost by Adrian Martinez.

I really hope Raiola works on his speed and agility this off-season and becomes a real running threat when scrambling. I feel there's a lot of first downs we just left on the table because he doesn't scramble and run much
Sure thing he has some baby fat to drop and replace with muscle, but knowing when to pull the ball and snag QB run yardage is either instinctual or a honed skill. As the RB run game improves in the overall, QB run opportunities will increase.

That doesn’t make it a bad call. The refs called it as the rule is written. Change the rule I don’t care but in regards to yesterday it was the correct call.

Talking about freshman seasons. I hope that was clear.
So are you saying that Martinez didn't cost Nebraska any games his freshman year, that he was only able to get 4 wins, while Raiola costing his team multiple games was still able to lead them to a bowl game and 7 wins? That is your argument for Martinez having the better season?

DR15's DAD didn't like the call against his own son?! That's cold. Why wasn't Dominic at the Pinstripe Bowl in person?

***Their careers never overlaped, well I'll be.***
