Allen and earlier Thompson REALLY hurt. Both of them were critical in case of injury which seems inevitable these days. Our NIL must not be keeping them home.

Talented kid. Sorry to see him go. But we have some pretty good running backs on the roster. I think we will be fine. The running back I want to see more of next fall is Rahmir. And if Grant is the starter come Fall I am going to stick my head in my toilet and scream.

Definitely stinks to lose a player with that kind of talent and potential. That being said, if there was a position group that could absorb it, it was definitely RB. Interested to see where he ends up.

I’ve noticed Tyreke Johnson is no longer listed on the roster at Huskers.com, is he included in the reported reductions so far, not finding anything online ? I wonder if those ultimately going the medically retired route or moved to ‘academic’ scholarship option will be announced by the school or will that be up to the student?

Seems like AJay was our best pure vision running back who could get north and south, but he was a little mentally weak and tied to Applewhite like it was his surrogate father or something.
It seemed to me that Allen had a case of dropsy with fumbles and dropped passes during the spring game. Everyone is expendable and we have a whole cohort of running backs...
Applewhite is why he came here, and Applewhite is why he left (IMO).
