... because of INJURIES on the Offense! Plain and simple!

When we lose please no melt downs! This staff and players had been giving there all and deserve our support when injuries totally make one side of the ball impotent!

Since Wisconsin is missing as many if not more defensive starters I wonder if their fans should take the same stance?

So if there's no chance to win, then why don't we forfeit? Why risk getting players injured? Let's just forfeit the game and stay home and get players ready for Ohio State.

Anybody who ever says there is no chance to win a game is a complete bumbling fool, idiot and not a fan, plain and simple. Saying let's still support the team because they are going to lose is somebody trying to hide their contempt for a team they don't like. No fan ever,EVER, EVER says their team can't win a game. EVER. Don't try to fool us with your fake GBR nonsense. You don't have one ounce of support for this team and the coaches. Giving up on them is showing utter contempt for them. Shameful and disgusting.

I'm throwing deep alot if I'm Langs. Don't think they can cover our wideouts at all.

Not serious...right?

Gee your right! I'm not a fan at all! It's my opinion, after watching the offense against Purdue, that we have zero chance! I hope I'm wrong but I have no idea how we score on Wisconsin when we could barely move on the worst D in the league!

You should really let the players and coaches know this. They're planning on practicing all week and putting together a game plan.

It's called "every game is different". Our offense, though wounded, has weapons. They played poorly against Purdue. But there is a good chance they will play better against Wisky. Got it?

I'm not sure that it's the best course of action to base our success or failure this coming weekend on the strength of one game. If that were the case, then I would say Ohio State will continue to lose after losing to Penn State…

Look at the IU game before the PU game.... Injuries are bad and have stopped the Offense from being able to do the job! Do you honestly expect the injuries just to go away by Saturday?

Yes, like if you watched what Purdue did to us last year, it would be easy to think there was no way we could beat Michigan State, right?
In 40 years of watching this team, I have never, not once even entertained the thought that there was no way we could win a game. No fan does that, period. I'm not sure what game you are playing here by posting this, but I am sure that I don't like whatever it is. Saying we still need to support the team and players after saying they can't win is a complete contradiction. Because saying they can't win is about as much contempt and hatred as you can show for the team.

I think you might be missing the point of his post. His point seems to be that us fans CAN'T blame the staff for a loss to Wisconsin because of things beyond the coaches control.

Look, it is just better to say "I don't think we will beat Wisky because of injuries". That is an honest opinion. But to say there is "no way" we will win is just hyperbole.

A few weeks ago I predicted we would lose to Ohio State badly. I am not so certain of that now. Even so, when I made that prediction I never said that there is "no way" we could beat them. That is just silly. We have a chance to win any game

Well I was at the Second sellout game of this current streak in 1964! I've been a fan since then! I defended Osborne when everyone wanted him fired because we couldn't beat OU or win the Big game! My concern originally with this post is how we react as a fan base when we lose! Now you can see why I was concerned.... Look at your reaction to me! If I'm right and we lose just don't be so quick to snap at the players-- I personally am proud how they have been able to fight thru all this adversity and still be 7-0! GBR

No fan ever,EVER, EVER says their team can't win a game.

I disagree with this statement. I will support the team in all games, but let's be honest, we had zero chance of winning at Oklahoma in 2004 and I think everyone knew it and thought it before the game.

We needed to run Kriewald more!

Edit: Regarding this week, I think it's an uphill battle given our injuries and poor performances in the middle of games, but we have a decent shot at a win.

Were you there in 1962 as well?

Well, looks like I've got an extra 3 hours on Saturday since I won't be watching the game now. Thanks for helping me out.

People are reacting negatively to you because you said we had absolutely no chance to win this weekend. How does that show why you were concerned? Most of us are mature enough to understand that we have injuries and still give us a chance to win and if we don't, we're not going to trash the team for losing because we understand that the injuries mean something and it's not a coaching issue. I mean you can say it will be difficult to win and you think we will probably lose, but to say there is "absolutely no chance to win" is beyond the pale and shows more contempt for the players and coaches you claim to support than anything else anybody could say.

I sat on my brothers shoulders in the student section and watched Thunder Thorton rumble thru Okl. St defense! I think we won 17-7! But that was my first game!

Both of the next two games are winnable. We will be underdogs, surely, but neither of our next two opponents are guaranteed victory. Look at your calendar, and ask yourself "when was the last time Nebraska was relevant on the national stage in late October?" Pause 2 minutes to reflect on that, and then get ready to enjoy Saturday night.

So you mean to tell me that an adult made those ridiculously silly OP comments? Wow..
