I was worried MSU would get Elko. Guy is a good coach. Having said that, aTm fans are still going to lose their minds because they thought they would get Campbell, Lanning, Meyer, etc.
Decent hire. Surprised they were able to circle back around and land him. Must have really overpaid for a head coach...again.
Solid coach, but hard to see him living up to their expectations. He might win 8-9 games a year there, but that got the last two coaches there fired.
With hefty checks on the way out. So if he doesn’t win on the field, he will off of it at least. If I was him, I wouldn’t go there unless I think I can get 9-10 consistently.

Right. Dan Campbell. One of the best young coaches in the NFL has the Lions winning for the first time in decades is going to leave that to go to College Station. I thought we were delusional fans.
Tells you the market. Campbell makes 4M a year with the Lions but could make 9-10M in College Station.

Jimbo didn't even make it to eight wins the past two seasons. Going 5-7 last year and losing at home to Appalachian State made it imperative for him to have a good record this year, but he only won six games.
