a dream-team staff is about to be available

Member when some of you guys wanted Tom Herman for our next coach?

Dude didn't even last 2 seasons. At FAU 😂

I think the dude just rubs people the wrong way. Plus, he is rich already and probably "over it", easy to lose that drive when you already have it made.

i think that's the perfect type of guy to get to run your offense.

you stumble into a Kalen DeBoer (and possibly Mike Shanahan), then you're back to square 1 when they get picked up.

boy it sure would be nice to replace our head guy with the Liberty head coach, if he became available
The same coach that lost to Kennesaw State a few weeks ago? At the time, KSU was 1-6 and Liberty 5-0 #11 in the nation...

Kennesaw State (1-6, 1-2 Conference USA) also picked up its first win against a Division I team since topping FCS member UT Martin on Nov. 5, 2022. I believe it was the worst upset, according to some sort of news agency.

I want to make sure we are talking about the same coach.

This guy is a winner.

This guy is a winner.

This year they are 7-2 with losses to KSU and Jacksonville State. They lucked out against UMASS Sat with a 35-34 win in OT.

I graduated from Liberty and follow them. Last year, he did great with the team he inherited, but this year, he is struggling. They do not look good. When he was at Coastal Carolina I would have agreed with you, but today not too sure...

Kennesaw was winless before the Liberty win. It was one of those few Tuesday or Wednesday night games that was worth watching because of the drama.

*If he was good enough to help Urban Meyer win a National Championship as OC, then Rhule isn't smart enough to hire him

I'm pretty sure there is more than meets the eye on that whole situation. I can't remember it all exactly, but I think Urban was happy to see him move on when he left for Houston and if memory serves. Like maybe there was another co-offensive coach who was the actual brains behind it. Either way, in the end, I think they even ended up hating each other. And I think when he was at Houston, he fell back assward into one transcendent player who he didn't recruit that made him look a hell of a lot better than he really was and he was able to parlay that into a Texas gig when Texas was rudderless and desperate. That also ended badly. They couldn't run him out of town fast enough. All kinds of Frost-like rumors swirling, but worse. Now this whole FAU thing and not making it even 2 years. The common denominator to all of these situations is Tom Herman. I'm telling you, the dude is toxic

Herman was shopping for a P5 OC job and FAU found out. Wisconsin could be in play😕
Yep, and we all know how this ends. He goes to a rival and Wisconsin starts to kill it and we are left looking like dogshit. The only hope is that maybe Herman is washed... I agree with your post in another thread as well. Herman is a good OC, probably not a good head dude. The only thing is he seems to do well with a dual threat guy. I wish we had that, but doesn't seem like we are going in that direction.

Yep. This is what people don't realize. Some dudes are just meant for a coordinator role and they are fantastic at it. Just because you may not cut it as a head man doesn't mean you aren't a stud coordinator or position coach. I have that convo with my teams all of the time. Support role studs always elevate your team.

Yeah, same with Holgersen and Frost. Some guys are meant to be head coaches and some are not. Mullen, Herman, DH, heck even Frost, I think we'd be lucky to have any one of those guys as an OC.

so does matt rhule get canned if he loses to wisconsin and iowa missing another bowl season, no.

there was no honey down here, just unreasonable expectations. fans doing it to themselves is so predictable.
no argument here.

just a sampling:

there isn't a program in the country, including N, that would not take avery johnson over will howard. stop with the narrative. it's silly and unflattering.

howard, predictably, is on his way to yet another conference title game and soon after the national tournament

avery is purple to the bone. his parents moved to manhattan. he's making over a mill. he's playing for a great coach, ask amart. he'll be in manhattan next year. then on to the nfl, sans injuries.

what position do you think goldilocks will play in the NFL?
