Alberts didn't hire Elko. So, if Elko fails, Alberts will get a chance to hire his own coach (if he hasn't moved on to something bigger by then).

Maybe, but if Elko fails they may not trust or like Tiny Trevor cto make their next hire. Shit can Benedict Alberts mid-season and bring in someone they trust to fire Elmo and hire the next coach.

If they like and trust Alberts, seems unlikely, they might give him the opportunity to hire their next coach. But ho guarantees, especially with the aTm admin and boosters.

I don’t get angst for Trev.

Either you hate the job he did and are mad or you liked what he did and you are mad he left.

Considering what he inherited from the previous AD and the improvements that have been made in facilities and hires, it’s hard to find a lot of fault. I don’t know any administrators who always got what they wanted but they kept moving forward.

Kong will come along and complain about volleyball and the reports that he didn’t embrace NIL.

Any AD they came here could not not have come into a better situation with the staff, coaches, facilities and finances. Trev cleaned up a lot of messes and had the department on good footing.

This from the outside looking in.

You make some strong points, but both can be true… he cleaned some messes up and left the place nicer than when he got here.

People can still be mad he bailed and direct their ire at him.

from what I deciphered from Trev is
a. he was pissed the south end zone deal did'nt pan out
or
b. he seen a&m as a step up the ladder
or
c. both

I don't really care at this point since the washington guy plugged right in, alot like the new db coach...
you gotta roll with the changes

Godo points. But I think the animosity comes from the feeling of being jilted and stabbed in the back. He was one of us. A husker. He said this was his "dream job". He never gave any hint that he might bolt after only a few years. And the suddenness of his departure, without any real reasons being given, gave the impression that he is an opportunistic ladder climber who, in retrospect, was merely using us a a stepping stone to bigger things. And that is fine. But then don't bullshit us up front by playing the "Oh I am so Husker red and here to stay" card.

This is exactly the way I feel, a lot of people I know disliked TA before he even came here( butt hurt wrastlers mostly) I think he did a great job on getting rhule and staying the course with Fred. He canned Frost early mid season, couldn’t have been an easy task. People make their choices, live and let live.

Best move he made for NU was leaving when he did

Handcuffs are finally off

We should be very thankful that he’s no longer here

As much as I hate Noted Lame, I was so happy to see A&M lose last night. All that money and they still suck. Lol

Oh and BTW, hey Trev, never come back to Nebraska you loser. GBR
He never left. He still owns the house and comes back every couple of weeks.

I think this is right. Plus, I don't think he treated people all that well when he made difficult decisions. Of course, whenever you have to make hard decisions people will get upset, but I don't know that he showed those people the dignity he could have. I also know that he didn't show the respect deserved to someone who was instrumental in his AD career.
