You are a retard. So our players should have already, in spring practice and fall practice, have mastered this new 3-4 defense... give the guy a freakin chance to install his defense... news flash... 1 1/2 games isn't enough time.
I'm not saying he is doing a great job coaching, but come on... to expect that our guys should be seasoned veterans in the 3-4 defense is just idiotic.
Tim, you have to admit this so far from being "not great". Why do you defend Mike and his coaches so much? Don't you get tired of the Huskers losing like this?

Do we fire them all and start over again? I don't believe that's the right play here, especially with Diaco just starting. Maybe he isn't all that, but he did come with a lot of fanfare as a really good D coordinator. Why is Solana ready to pull the plug after a game and a half?
Don't worry, in 2 years when Langsdork can't score enough to keep up with Diaco's bend/break defense, Smiley will replace him and Timmy Sun will make same excuses all over again.

The Huskers played much better in the second half. Not well enough to win, but better. I just don't see how Mike is ever going to win "Big". Iowa did what they needed to do in Ames, today. Purdue looks better. The Hoosiers beat-up a marginal Virginia team. It isn't going to get easier for us in the Big Ten.
I wish I had the answer. I can't give you the name of the coach to lead the Huskers back to the top. My biggest fear is when Mike decides to go back to his beach house on the Oregon coast we will just settle for Langsdorf or Diaco
My expectations for Diaco shot way up when he decided he didn't have to talk to the media despite his huge salary. I think we have had enough of thin skin blue collar guys....I expect him to point out the zero point 2nd half, while forgetting we lost, and then remind us we won last week, despite a terrible defensive performance. We are still giving up 40 points a game! I love the kids, hope they get a great education and grow as leaders because history tells us almost none of them will make much money at football, but these grown men who are talking millions need to be able to explain themselves to the people that pay them. Why were we so unprepared to start the game...why so many breakdowns....what the 2nd half showed was we have the players but do the coaches get us prepared enough.

first off we are playing new style of defense with players who are not quite fit for that style so we are going to have some growing pains and that is a fact. secondly our best corner is hurt which put other players in positions they were not ready for, they need to step up, thirdly we are playing some fairly young lads but they better grow up fast, and fourthly Langsdork puts the D in terrible situations, hell they go 3 and out with 3 passes and they are back on the field again with no rest. there I solved the issues of the day for everybody.
by the way I think we have some very good quality coaches who will lead us in the right direction i'm trying to stay positive.

I don't do that lightly, but Solana has been especially deserving of such a title. I don't know what his problem is with Diaco that he is so incensed about him and the money he makes. It has now been 2 whole games that Diaco has coached for the huskers. 2. And his rant against Diaco started after game 1.
Whatever happened to allowing someone time to make the pieces work? Since when does calling for the head of a coach come after exactly 1 game? That's stupid, and I am calling Solana out for it.

That's what he and his ilk do on this board. They can't defend the shit show of a program that's gone 3-5 in the last 8 games so they attack posters personally. Mods allow it because, you know, they buy their sauce.

What would you recommend here? How am I wrong? If you think we should fire the coaches, how will that improve the Huskers? Let's see... fire Diaco after his second game. That's a great idea!
Even if he isn't saying, "Fire the guy!" he sure isn't bringing anything constructive by calling him the worst D Coordinator and ranting and raving about his salary. But go ahead, don't give the coach any time to fix it. Instead, come after me for calling Solana out.
