I just hope it will be 2 or 3 protected rivalry games.Nebraska protected rivalries that we have to play every year;
Ohio State
MIchigan
Penn State
UCLA
USC
Am I missing anything?
Up to 3. I really want Penn State and UCLA. If they have to keep the heroes game I guess Iowa.. 🙄I just hope it will be 2 or 3 protected rivalry games.
Ioway for sure. I’ve been more in the lines of Minnesota and UCLA.Up to 3. I really want Penn State and UCLA. If they have to keep the heroes game I guess Iowa.. 🙄
I get the Minnesota because of the history and distance but N needs an marquee opponent that will draw national attention every year so I believe Penn State is the better option. We'll see though..Ioway for sure. I’ve been more in the lines of Minnesota and UCLA.
Penn St will most like get Maryland and Maybe tOSU..Michigan will get Sparty and Bucknuts for sure..
Nebraska isn't going to be the driver behind how many games get protected. Likely to be Michigan with Michigan State and Ohio State for a minimum of two protected games. A third is a remote possibility but certainly no more than 3 IMO and more likely to be 2.I just hope it will be 2 or 3 protected rivalry games.

Probably not lolSo do USC & UCLA get the NU/Penn St treatment as new members of the B1G or has that mindset changed? if so, that will dictate some schedules...
I wonder if USC will try to keep ND on the schedule as a non conference or if the B1G will shut that down..I would prefer to have ucla be our black friday game instead of iowa.
I don't see why USC would want them on the schedule, tough game and harder to make playoff. Committee has shown it values record over strength of schedule.I wonder if USC will try to keep ND on the schedule as a non conference or if the B1G will shut that down..
Normally when the game is in Los Angeles it’s the last game of the year, that would leave a void when does the UCLA game get played?I wonder if USC will try to keep ND on the schedule as a non conference or if the B1G will shut that down..
my guess is neither team draws quite the hate as NU. Possibly USC, but they have at least been decent recently, and I guess they arent coming in with talk about how they are going to dominate the B1G.So do USC & UCLA get the NU/Penn St treatment as new members of the B1G or has that mindset changed? if so, that will dictate some schedules...
Normally the week before the ND gameNormally when the game is in Los Angeles it’s the last game of the year, that would leave a void when does the UCLA game get played?
Because I think the B1G prefers to have every one play a rivalry game closer to their proximity..
Only Ioway fans make this charade up about Nebraska fans saying were going to dominate the B1G coming into the conference..my guess is neither team draws quite the hate as NU. My only problem with this is, I can’t just drive across the Missouri River and talk shit to Iowa fans anymore after we beat themI would prefer to have ucla be our black friday game instead of iowa.

Ehhhh, I mean, I remember so many Husker fans talking about how "fast" NU was compared to the Big Ten teams and how we had all that Texas speed.Only Ioway fans make this charade up about Nebraska fans saying were going to dominate the B1G coming into the conference..
You must be a Herky fan..
Realistically how many Nebraska fans plan a trip every other year to Pasadena over Thanksgiving weekend?I would prefer to have ucla be our black friday game instead of iowa.
B1G & SEC are working on an inter-conference rivalry where we would play Georgia and ‘Bama in alternating years.Nebraska protected rivalries that we have to play every year;

I don't know what the source of the info. is but IF it were true that could be the beginning of a long term move toward consolidating elite college football teams into an NFL like super conference. To me that makes sense over the long run purely from a money standpoint because they'd have almost monopoly power when negotiating media rights.B1G & SEC are working on an inter-conference rivalry where we would play Georgia and ‘Bama in alternating years.
How much does having IA be a rival help recruiting. If west coast kids saw NU and ucla battle every year we could get access to some more recruits. And there's enough NU fans on the west coast that we would outnumber ucla fans.Realistically how many Nebraska fans plan a trip every other year to Pasadena over Thanksgiving weekend?
If they‘re a rival I would prefer traveling to Pasadena another weekend in October or early November..
haha, no. Im just saying that has been the narrative around the B1G. Remember when Frost said "We hope they have to adjust to us" and then everyone lost their shit? I actually kindof believed him. Or wanted to. Or the cover of athlon or whatever it was, with TM and KB and the new scoring explosion? I thought we would be better than the slow plodding B1G. Then Northwestern took it to us at home and crushed my dreams. Ever since then, I have just had the feeling we get hosed on the schedules. While Iowa gets a cakewalk.Only Ioway fans make this charade up about Nebraska fans saying were going to dominate the B1G coming into the conference..

It wouldn't be out of the question and although I'd love Wisconsin instead of Minnesota I'm not sure that will be he case. UCLA makes sense if they do 3 permanent rivals. If they do 2 permanent rivals it could also be Iowa and UCLA which wouldn't be bad.
You’re being quite disingenuous with this post 😊Only Ioway fans make this charade up about Nebraska fans saying were going to dominate the B1G coming into the conference..

500 mile radius still a deal?How much does having IA be a rival help recruiting. If west coast kids saw NU and ucla battle every year we could get access to some more recruits. And there's enough NU fans on the west coast that we would outnumber ucla fans.
Nebraska entered in 2011. SF wasn’t the head coach.,haha, no. Im just saying that has been the narrative around the B1G. Maybe Rhule will get us back to where the CA pussy schools will fear us. GBR!!I fear we'll draw both USC & UCLA because of the shorter travel distance. 😐
Why fear? As long as one is visiting every year I'm good with that.I fear we'll draw both USC & UCLA because of the shorter travel distance. 😐
Mike Riley and the Huskers beat UCLA in a bowl for fvcks sake!!Seems like the majority are putting UCLA at the level of USC and I don’t really understand why. Sure they’ve had some good teams here and there over the last 20+ years but they’ve also had terrible stretches as well. I’ve never really thought of them as a football power at all since I’ve been watching the sport, at least nowhere near USC’s level. Maybe I’m missing something
I don't think conference can say anything about non conference games 🤔I wonder if USC will try to keep ND on the schedule as a non conference or if the B1G will shut that down..
No problem with that in my bookI fear we'll draw both USC & UCLA because of the shorter travel distance. 😐
