Not if it was dull to begin with. So some semantics some not. But enough thread jacking. Back to the blue chips.Semantics I say. Is said knife not sharper after you hone it?

There are about 10 other teams that have recruited as well or better than Clemson and 5 or 6 teams that are just behind them. Why hasn't any team besides Alabama been able to match Clemson's success?

Didnt offend me, not the boss. You are the boss here, so sorry to offend you darling.
We lost 7 bowl games in a row because we played the 7 best teams in college football, or close to it. 95% of other teams would not only lose all of those games, but get destroyed in the process. I think out of those 7 games, 3 ended up being the national champion and another 4 finished #2. It's just insane the level of competition we faced in those bowl games.
15 other teams have similar recruiting as Clemson and only 1 other team has had the same level of success. Why is that? Not sure where you're trying to go with this. Clemson recruits at an extremely high level and routinely lands "blue chip" recruits. 3 or 4 top ten classes over the last 8 years or so.
90% of teams on that list can't beat Bama or Clemson. Those 7 bowl games we lost was like playing either Bama or Clemson each year because every team we faced finished either #1 or #2.Those are the kinds of games we're worried about winning and hence the analysis of the BCR here. No one cares about rolling over the lesser teams...they more or less.expect Frost to achieve that.and quite frankly if he doesn't then the BCR analysis here doesn't matter

The Big 10 is in trouble, because according to my count, the best players in the conference (according to this list https://athlonsports.com/college-football/big-ten-football-2019-all-conference-team) comprise a ratio of less than 40%.
We seem to get better play out of our 3 stars than 4 stars. I'd much rather take a high 3 star you know has the right attitude vs a 4 star who has questionable character or doesn't try and washes out after a year.Cheating by a tenth of a point (let's call it blue chip/almost blue chip), NU has 19/27 (minus Bland, plus Green), or 70% recruits that are 5.7 or higher for 2019. Not the magical blue chip percentage, but certainly good enough to win a lot of games in the coming years. In 2018, 15 of the 25 recruits were 5.7 or higher (60%), four of those are not now (or were never on) on NU's roster.
Two takeaways from this, our class last year finished high, but fewer lows, the regular highly rated players got us there, thus making the quality level very high.Cheating by a tenth of a point (let's call it blue chip/almost blue chip), NU has 19/27 (minus Bland, plus Green), or 70% recruits that are 5.7 or higher for 2019.
