Going to be interesting

Going to be interesting to see if Butler institutes any defensive changes for the bowl game. Obviously, any major changes will probably wait until next year. But I would wager we are going to see some new wrinkles. I am looking forward to it. I was never a huge Tony White fanboy. His defenses here were obviously good ones. But I also thought something was lacking. Killer instinct? Effective blitz packages?

Going to be fun to see what Butler does.

Potential transfer targets

I’m bored so figured I’d start a thread on some potential transfer targets that our staff is following on socials.

OT: Bud Crawford

Saw him today at Bath and Bodyworks at the Westroads. Pretty cool to see such a huge figure out just having a normal day with his family. Other than some small talk (my wife actually taught his older daughter 16 years ago at Educare in Omaha and he remembered her) he was really left alone in the mall. Being a celebrity has got to be demanding and difficult at times.

Football UCLA transfer DB Jaylin Davies on visit in Lincoln

It appears former UCLA and Oregon defensive back Jaylin Davis has made it to Lincoln for his visit.

Davies, a 6-foot, 180-pounder, spent the past three seasons at UCLA and recorded a total of 105 tackles, 15 passes defensed and four interceptions. In 2024, he had
30 tackles and two passes defensed. In UCLA's win over Nebraska in Lincoln on Nov. 2, Davies had five tackles.

Davies began his career at Oregon, where he played in two games in 2021 and redshirted. He'll have one season of eligibility remaining at his next stop. Former four-star recruit who was ranked No. 106 overall in the 2021 class.
