Lincoln among top Airbnb destinations for cfb

I guess this mildly surprised me as we haven't been relevant in cfb rankings for quite awhile. Must be other factors, like Lincoln is a safe family destination? Memorial Stadium is still thought to be one of the great cathedrals of cfb? The friendly nature of Husker Nation?

"According to Airbnb, it has seen a 25% increase in searches for rooms in Lincoln ahead of Saturday’s game, which is also Labor Day weekend.

Lincoln is one of the most popular college football destinations for renters, including cities such as Tallahassee, Eugene, and Knoxville.

The city has hundreds of Airbnb rentals, but almost all are booked for this weekend."

Farewell - I won't be missed ;)

Hello all,

After over 20 years on the site I am letting my subscription expire. I have had this subscription since 2003 when I was roommates in college with John Talman. It has been a heck of a run and a lot of fun over the years, but I just don't frequent this enough to warrant keeping it going.

Thanks again for all the fun, I have not been very active lately so I doubt anyone will notice I am gone. But has been a great ride.

Farewell and Go Big Red!

Nebraska delt

Recruiting Nebraska offers rising 2027 St. Louis WR

Nebraska was the third offer from 2027 St. Louis (Mo.) Lutheran North wide reciever Chance McPike, offering just after Tennessee became the first Power Four program to offer the sophomore, who played his freshman season at Warrenton (Mo.)

745 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 42 receptions, with 362 kick return yards and two touchdowns last season

As someone that always hated school

John Bullock is now one of my favorite Huskers. I am sure the spelling NAZI nerds will hate him now.

Love this quote from him. Especially the last sentence.

“My head wasn’t completely in getting a masters,” Bullock said. “My advisors told me if you’re not truly in it, don’t do it. I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s probably not a path I want to take right now.’ Not a big school guy.”

Football Why Nebraska's DBs will get an early physicality test against UTEP

Jake Brown was coaching against Nebraska last year on Sunny Cumbie's La Tech staff. Brown and Cumbie featured a heavy dose of receiver screens that day. Brown is now Scotty Walden's co-OC/WRs coach at UTEP.

No doubt, the Miners will be running Walden's offense. But perhaps Brown will have an influence, too. Matt Rhule is paying attention and knows his corners and safeties will need to tackle in space Saturday.
