Huge shoutout to @jansencoburn for creating this awesome highlight reel of the Huskers' beatdown of Colorado on Saturday night. Captured the biggest moments of the game, the intense atmosphere and just the overall wild night at Memorial:

NIL ranking question

is there a source/webpage to get "accurate" info on how much each team gets as far as NIL.
to perhaps gauge performance per dollar?
like I'm guessing the wyoming cowboys pay less NIL then texas...so it would be interesting to know the difference, as far as understanding the effects on the competitive nature of the sport and having perspective.

Crowd noise

For people at the game, how many people around you make noise when the defense is in the field vs don't make a peep?

I was at the game. The people on both sides of me and behind me didn't make a peep all game. I wonder how crazy the atmosphere would be if everybody made some noise.

There isn't much us fans can do to help the team during the game. Being loud is about the one thing we can do.

I wish people that just want to quietly watch would do so at home and the stands only had people who cheered.

***and off my soap box, but seriously, make some noise. ***

This senior class...

Is a special one and will be remembered for a long time. Watching the Chasing 3 series and you can see how important this season was for Gifford, Robinson, Bullock, The Nut Smasher, etc.. They set a tone early on and everyone brought in. Also, Rhule definitely has two sides to him. He's a caring dude who wants the best for his players and he won't steer them wrong but don't f*** with him - holds everyone to the standard that Nebraska used to be known for.

OT: Fantasy football

10 man league, mostly standard points with rushing carries 0 pts and receptions .5 pts. I drafted 8th and got smoked week 1.... the rest of the season doesn't look to much better per the projected points/ matchup.

QBs: Tua and Dak
RBs: J. Taylor, T Etienne Jr, N Harris, and N. Chubb
WRs: J. Chase, D. Moore, M. Pittman Jr, M. Nabers, and R. Odunze
TEs: B. Browers and T. Hockenson
K: Moody
Def: Houston

Drafted Chubb with last pick, claimed Hockenson off waivers with the hope of them returning to past form late in the year.

My thoughts for a positive outlook:

1. Chase hasn't practiced and hasn't returned to form, He will get better. Overall the WR group didn't have a single TD. That has to be a low chance of reoccurring.
2. Tua had over 300 yards passing but only 1 TD. Dak will have easier games ahead.
3. Chubb and Hockenson have been leaders in points when healthy. Still a big if

Alright so.... hold the course or do I need to start being aggressive in trades/etc?

If trading.... what position do I pursue?

Defrosted

One of many big problems in Frost era was what appeared to be lack of guys meeting recruiting expectations along with lack of any apparent development in careers once they arrived on campus with many guys appearing to get worse. Maybe the poster child for this was how much better Wandale Robinson was once Kentucky properly utilized him. One of many strong areas with Rhule seems to be the ability to identify guys that can play and development of guys we do have.

Looking at guys on current two deep the following four players appear to be fully defrosted.

1. Robinson - In another post i noted that while he was really big he didn't play with great leverage and he kind of looked like he had cement shoes on. We actually had posters state in pregame threads that he should have snaps limited for faster players as he would have not chance to tackle Shueder. In first two games he has 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, a pass deflection and absolutely tormented Sanders in game last night. From a mobility perspective, almost seems like a different guy.

2. Corcoran/Benhart - Prior to season I thought the two biggest concerns were LT and Placekicker. Through two games I have not noticed Corcoran which is probably a great thing. He had a good PFF grade against UTEP and likely will against CU. From what I remember, Corcoran scored a zero passing grade in either 21-22. This year he has been above average P5 LT and feel like we are OK there if he stays health. When you look back to where Corcoran/Benhart were in 2022 it is really both and indictment on Frost and a feather in cap of this staff to be able to defrost these guys so effectively.

3. Gbayor - I did not expect Gbayor to be challenging for our best LB. Currently with 11 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss and a pass break up he is pushing Bullock for that spot with very similar stats. Overall LB play of Bullocks, Gbayor and Sherman has been impressive. The speed Sherman showed coming of that block and sacking Sanders was not something I didn't think he was capable of. This group will just get better as Shavers and Mgahee are integrated into rotation and one of the reason White is so high on the defense as a whole. Overall, LB play has been fully defrosted. Amazing what happens when you hire the best available DC and not the best man at your wedding.

I haven’t been this excited or confident in Nebraska Football in a Generation!

Matt Rhule is gonna be our Nick Saban. It’s becoming obvious with every passing second. Nebraska has become a “Physically Presence” mentally and physically in just one year of guidance under Coach Rhule. Nebraska will start pulling in 4 and 5 star players from all over because the Mom and Dads will see it too! Coach Rhule is a damn good coach and even better Human Being and people want to be a part of that!
