I can't help but laugh at Colorado again today. They made a big deal about doing a whiteout at home but Baylor chose to wear their away whites, forcing Colorado to wear their normal home colors. Now, Colorado is in trouble of dropping a close one to Baylor, as a little insult to injury. I love it.

We have now suffered multiple years in a row of losing one score games. And in year two of Rhule we have just seen it happen again. At home. At night. With momentum.

Will this year now be different? Will the Illinois loss prove to be a wake up call and an anomaly as we go on to a 9-3 type season or will it be a harbinger of things to come?

In my opinion this next week will be one of the most important in the Rhule era so far. Can he avoid this season descending into the same mediocrity? Or can he right the ship?

I sure hope it is the latter because if we limp to another 5-7 season he will have a hard time overcoming the narrative that he is just one more failed Husker coach. And I for one just can’t stomach the thought of another “wait till next season” year.

After the d forced a fumble and recovered, the camera kept showing Ty raging at someone. At first I thought it was an intensity kind of thing and then the longer it went on, the more it seemed he was chewing one or more of his teammates out. Any idea what actually took place?

What is the difference between this year and last years defense?

We have looked like dog shit the last 2 games, with mostly the same players.

Year 1: Suck
Year 2: 6-7 wins
Year 3: 10-11 wins

Not trying to be one of those "next year is the year" guys (those guys are losers), but that's how Matt Rhule does his thing. We shouldn't expect any different. Lots to bitch about from last night, but we still need to be patient.
