We’ve played our best opponents in OSU and IU and we’re 5-3. Probably let one slip against Illinois and just didn’t have enough against OSU. UCLA, USC, Wisco and iowa will be toss ups, but none of them are anywhere close to as good as OSU and IU. (I guess 🤷‍♂️) Every game will be a toss up going forward; do we have what it takes? Let’s roll and find out motha fvckers…

Just got back from C-Bust and I had high hopes but that place was meh. First off, they reported 104K and that was the quietest 104K crowd you will ever see. They never got ramped up and most of the fans I sat by just bitched about Will Howard and Chip Kelly instead of cheer the team on. Was very weird. Some other thoughts.

1. Tailgating - I know this probably wasn't a big game for them, but their tailgating sucked. Right out in front of the stadium was dead and did not get invited into 1 tailgate as we just walked around through the lots for about 2 hours.
2. Fans - Not too bad. They thought it was going to be a blowout so didn't chirp much. After the game they were more worried about Chip and Howard than a win.
3. Stadium - Cool stadium, but very steep when you get to the third level. As stated above, wasn't loud at all and was just a weird vibe. Good selection of booze inside the stadium which was cool, but super expensive (no surprise). They had Beer, High Noons, Cut Water and mixed drinks. I was surprised by the mixed drinks, but you could get a margarita, jameson and juice, a vodka drink and one other thing. Wife had a margarita and said it wasn't bad.
4. Campus - Massive and man I wish we could move to Nike. Went to their bookstore and a lot of apparel stores and Nike just has better shit. I did buy a "Jesus Hates Michigan" shirt in red and white.
5. Bar scene - Was super dead on Friday. Was really surprised. Was there about 10 years ago for work and had a blast and this was way different. Kids must not like to throw down anymore.
6. Game - MAN! I thought we had them. I'm not sure what it looked like on TV and I had some drinks in me, but boy did it seem like we were getting hosed. The first PI was ridiculous. That ball was no where near catchable and they were mugging our receivers with zero calls. The targeting call looked like they got hosed, but couldn't really tell from the screen. Overall, and a lot of their fans agreed, that there was a ton of bad calls against NU. One of the PI's their corner grabbed his helmet and new he screwed up and they called it on us. Just wish DR15 could have made a couple of more throws. The 2 big whiffs we needed and just could get it done.
7. Gifford. Good god that kid was bad again. The entire section was keyed on him and he had a number of whiffs or was just out of position. He also just looks about 2 steps slower than he was last year. It's about time for him to ride the pine.

What’s with that? Day was even clearly on the playing field.

Little man (9) and I are really into 2 things right now:

1) soccer

2) Pokemon strategy game - we are going to do a father son tournament in March is the goal - i gotta get a LOT better

For finally pointing out the obvious: Absolutely incompetent officiating and I'll add, biased officiating so far in this game. B1G refs doing their thing, protect the brand(s).

Ohtani on that slide last night in the 9th on the stolen base attempt somehow ended up with a partial dislocation of the left shoulder. That is kind of difficult to return from in just a couple days with the Series scheduled to be wrapped up a week from today. Dodgers may be up 2-0 but hard to lose him right now.
