I think Jamarion Parker (RB commit) is being EXTREMELY SLEPT ON ... nationally too

reminds me SO much of Steve Slaton - which Holgorsen will love next season - the breakaway speed, sneaky power, and elite first two steps

Basketball Hoiberg wants to see NU play under control with Fairleigh Dickinson in town

"You think, are we doing the right thing? Do you do a knee-jerk reaction, throw everything out the window and change?" Fred Hoiberg said Monday.

Nebraska welcomes Fairleigh Dickinson to PBA on Wednesday. It's another opportunity to work on the offense, which badly needs to improve.

Have we discussed the Utah AD going scorched earth on the Big12?

What does everyone think of this? He earned himself a public reprimand and 40K fine from the league but I think it was worth it.

"This game was absolutely stolen from us. We were happy to be in the Big 12, but tonight I am not. We won this game. Someone else stole it from us. Very disappointed—I will talk to the commissioner. [. . .] I am disgusted by the professionalism of the officiating crew tonight."

I asked Google AI to break down the Principles of the Air Raid Offense (good answers inside!)

The Air Raid offense in American football has several principles, including:
  • Leverage: A key principle of the Air Raid offense

  • Open grass: The offense looks for open grass to throw to

  • Simplicity: The offense aims to stay simple and spread out the defense

  • Vertical and horizontal: The offense is spread out horizontally before the snap and vertically after the snap

  • Displacing defenders: The offense aims to displace as many defenders as possible across the field

  • Quarterback checks: Some play callers allow quarterbacks to make checks if they feel comfortable with a play

The Air Raid offense is typically run from a shotgun formation with four wide receivers and one running back. Some other principles of the Air Raid offense include:
    • Base four verticals: The "6" play is a base four verticals play that can be adapted based on the defense
    • Outside release: All receivers must release on the outside of their defender
    • Dropout rules: Receivers use dropout rules to determine when to break off their route

Some coaches who popularized the Air Raid offense include Hal Mumme, Mike Leach, Sonny Dykes, and Tony Franklin.

You guys that want Rhule canned...

I think Sam M just made a really astute point with this tweet regarding Florida announcing that they're keeping Napier:

Boosters - do you want your money to go to fired coaches, or do you want it going to NIL to hire more talent? Rhule needs to get some better brains on the offensive staff, but screw paying a buyout.

The 3 year plan is now 4

Rhule thought he could get good enough QB play out of Sims or maybe Purdy as placeholders for 2 years, while developing a young star for a break out season in year 3. It only goes up from there.

He didn’t count on those two being a complete train full of dumpster fires. So in comes Haarburg to manufacture some wins. Not great, really, not up to the task. Does not have the right skill set.

Fast forward to today and the plan is entirely different. Roll out the phenom and take your licks along the way.

Indiana exposed us, and now our confidence is rocked. Hopefully they can get some traction and eek out two more wins.

Fans won’t be thrilled, but having the non bowl streak end will inject some life into the fans and the team.

Regardless, changes among some assistants are absolutely non negotiable.

I knew this domino was going to fall

A player suing the NCAA for eligibility restrictions.
Wants 2 more years but if he wins there will be no more eligibility rules.
Are you ready for 30 or 35 year olds in College football that can't make the NFL?
