Delusional Players

I understand being confident but so many players are just delusional. Latest example Chief Borders.

Former Husker Jack linebacker Chief Borders announced his transfer to Pittsburgh on May 12. Borders, who had nine tackles last season for NU, transferred out of the program just days after the 2024 spring game in late April.
Borders began his career at Florida before spending one season in Lincoln. He told On3 that he chose Pitt, coached by Pat Narduzzi, as part of a “business decision.” The defense, Borders said, would mold itself around his talents.

“The Heisman is a trophy I’ve been dreaming about in all of my football years,” Borders said to On3. “I believe they can give me the best shot in making it a reality.”

I recall Josiah Allick talking in the preseason thinking he had an NBA career in front of him.

Beef

It’s one thing to be an annoying Vegan snob….i prefer being a meat snob, and being very selective where my meat is sourced.

Anybody ever bought direct from ranch?

I nerd out on this sort of thing, have a deep freeze, etc. the cost per quality pound is a true life hack as opposed to buying meat from grocery stores (****ing gross).

What are some good ranches in Nebraska? Imagine Western NE has some real gems.

I just ordered a 1/4 grass raised/grain finished cow from what is known as a top ranch in Phoenix metro. They also dry hang and age for 21 days the carcass before they do the cuts, which makes it impossible the meat is infected, and pulls out the extra water weight from your meat, and puts a massive win in the taste per bite category.

On a level from 1-10, I’m an 11 for getting this stuff on my freezer and putting on my BGE.

TO doesn’t want you gambling

LINCOLN — Former Husker coach Tom Osborne urged lawmakers Monday not to allow betting on Husker home football games and other in-state matches played by Nebraska college and university teams.
The national championship coach and staunch gambling opponent warned that the expansion of sports betting is transforming college sports contests into gambling events and the more money people spend on gambling, the more pressure gets put on coaches and players.
“I would ask that you at least protect our Nebraska athletes,” Osborne said in a letter to members of the General Affairs Committee.

This is the same guy that brought us Scott Frost. College football isn’t at rigged.
