I liked the ‘America the Beautiful’ performance. Thought the National Anthem was good, but not outstanding

I am not sure how the national anthem was received by the country because i haven't really read any reactions to it, but i thought that guy was badass...never heard of him before and i was worried at first because he kinda started putting his own flavor on it, but it blended well with the city of new orleans and i loved the little piano riffs/jazz throughout...i thought he absolutely killed it

Travis Kelce getting emasculated on pretty much every snap tops the list for me. He was a no-show as a receiver, and when they kept him in to "block" it was absolutely hilarious.

Pleasantly surprised Kelce didn't feel the need to barge into Jalen Hurts' game MVP interview, the way he always did with Mahomes.

i'm probs in the minority of old whites people who like the anthem flavored... i liked his rendition.... was not one of my favorites but certainly liked the nod to his city's heritage

Didn’t mind it, but he stumbled at the end, I don’t think he hit the note he wanted, or if he did, it didn’t land

Absolutely. It was so bad he couldn’t even muster the rage to assault the head coach this year. I would have paid to watch a split screen of K and S mopey faces all game.

.....to the person who chose the halftime show

I liked it. It was different, but a good different and it was well executed too. Sometimes it seems like when vocalists try to do something totally different with the national anthem, it often appears like they haven’t practiced it enough and the execution is just a little off.

Also every localist has practiced and/or performed the traditional style of the national anthem thousands of times. It’s literally one of the 1st songs every vocalist is driven/motivated to learn when they’re young. I think changing it up is ok, but you have to nail it like most people do when they sing the traditional version.

Pretty substandard presentation across the board. I hate the Eagles and all things Philly, but major props to the ass whoopin that they put on a great coach and team. Damn impressive domination, in every facet of the game. The Mahomes v Brady comp can rest for a bit. Mahomes was rattled from snap one, but almost every QB in NFL history would’ve been rattled by that pash rush. Dominating indeed. And Saquon was held in check, which makes that beatdown even greater.

Mahomes sucked. Easily his worst game ever as a pro. He'd have to win several more SB's now to ever get mentioned as the possible GOAT after that display. I had him #2 anyway, but I know others were starting to ask outloud if he was #1.

The Play-calling and O-line didn’t do him any favors either. Masterclass by the Eagles staff and not by the Chiefs. Unexpected for sure. They abandoned the run in the pregame warmups. Very confusing.

That last line....I told my wife that if the Chiefs knew they would hold Saquon to 57 yards, they would take their chance....

Chiefs played them exactly like I thought they would. Shut down Barkley and make Hurts beat you with his arm on 3rd down. And he did exactly that, their WRs torched the Chiefs’ man coverage and Hurts made the throws he needed to. Biggest thing I didn’t see coming was Philly’s complete domination of the Chiefs O-line. Nobody dominated the Chiefs O-line like that all season and was the #1 difference maker in the game.

He may not be a top 5 in the current QB roll, and he’s in his prime, so not sure how he could be in even a top 10 discussion of GOAT.

Mahommes did something twice that Joe Montana never was able to do in 4 Super Bowls … throw an interception. I’ll take Joe all day over Mahommes.

O-line did him no favors but several of his passes looked like he was confusing his receivers shoes with their gloves.

Pressure really got him. We’ve all seen lesser QBs start to make involuntary mistakes when the pressure keeps getting to them. Can’t keep their eyes down field and get happy feet. All the credit goes to the Eagles front four and linebackers. They got to Mahomes and made him play like shit. But this should be good motivation for Mahomes and if the Chiefs address some of their roster deficiencies they can be right back here again.

shit, I’d take Elway over Mahommes. His best asset seems to be his ability, as awkward as it looks, to buy some time until one of his guys is wide open.

has there ever been a worse performance by an "elite" player on the biggest stage than Mahomes's clunker last night?

in any sport?

IDK that I lay that much blame on Patty. Not a good game, but somehow the Philly front 4 got pressure on him all night long. That front 4 is good, but even as a die-hard Eagles fan, I'm not sure I would call them great. Jalen Carter is a wrecking crew for sure, and he really disrupts the blocking schemes for the other dogs. Just imagine if Bryce Huff had actually panned out. What if we get a Myles Garrett or Micah Parsons? Lookout.

Well said. Just proof how important it is to get there with four and have a 50% pressure rate. You do that and it's a long day for the offense. No matter who the skill position players are.

I really think if the Chiefs fix that OL, they certainly can remain a top contender in the AFC.

My “unfavorite” part was KC leaving in the starters at garbage time in order to get a few easy, but meaningless points against some of the Eagles scrubs. It would have served them right if Mahomes had suffered an arm or leg injury limiting his availability for next season. WTF were they thinking?

The only dumber decision was the choice of the halftime entertainer. 🤣

I do t know, lite. He's pretty damn good. I have him at #3 rn. That's pretty crazy for a guy as young as he is.

I really don't hold a game like last night against him. If you're running for your life at a 50% rate, it's pretty tough to not rush it when you actually have some time on that rare occasion.

He'll most likely be fine and very well might end his career as the GOAT. I rolled my eyes every time people wanted to do it right now, though.
