... made it tough for me yesterday.... my boys have been raised Husker fans even though neither have ever lived in Nebraska... we watched together( i rarely do anymore) but with 7 minutes to go my oldest said " i think we have this"... i said" son, are you crazy??? have you not seen us the last two years?"
After they scored, i went down to our game room to play ping pong with one of my grandkids until it was over... he was thrilled with the attention!😂
The bottom line is... i loved 95% of the game, and i think i love where we are going... we were realistically chances away from being 11-2 or 10-3...
i loved our older kids who stayed and performed!
Our biggest need... special teams coach...

the coffee tastes better today...🙂

The most satisfying season in a LONG time. I'm really looking forward to rewatching the game on 'B1G Football in 60.'

I found this season to be very frustrating. We are still a long ways off. But progress is progress and it’s good to be heading in the right direction

As we bitch and moan about the present coaching staff, I’m reminded of a comment Bill Busch made after his first game as DC. Said they pretty much played base defense, with a goal of getting lined up correctly. That was the state of the defense and team after over 5 years of Frost and company. Fast forward to a team that is still flawed, but always works, and has a bunch of good young players.

Frustrating to lose games like we have, but happy to have won a game at the end.

Frustrating to think a 7-6 season (and a minor bowl win) is worth celebrating, but not nearly so much when you consider our recent history.

Frustrating that our ST are so frickin’ bad, but hopeful the new year brings a much needed change.

Frustrating that NU is not a perfect team like the 90s, but going in the right direction. We all know 8-9 wins is not the ceiling, but gotta get to that plateau to reach the next step. And find 1-2 playmakers on offense and defense to make that happen.
