WOW, Alex Lewis, you've got to kidding me...

evidently after the game while walking off the field Lewis was blowing kisses and waving at Husker fans and saying : "Sorry we suck!" Sean Callahan on his twitter page has confirmed this. If this is true then Mike Riley needs to sit down with Alex and ask him if he wants to be part of this team. For goodness sake Lewis is a team captain. Brutal.

Alex Lewis....see below.

It's unfortunate that Alex has to be such a bad egg. But what did you expect when it comes to character? Colorado was the only team that gave him a shot, and then after he overachieved he rewards their faith and loyalty to him by transferring to their biggest rival. He left CU in a really bad spot, we had invested a lot of time and energy into him and didn't have much behind him. So this is a guy who couldn't care less about the team around, he's all about Alex and he will very likely waste NFL potential because of his narcissism.

He doesn't have NFL potential.

Sad that Buff fans still look East for their biggest rival when we haven't been in the same conference for years.

We were just changing when he transferred, and I'd say most buffs have moved on, but at the time the sentiments were still fresh. If we lose a recruit to Nebraska now, which has happened recently, most buffs fans don't think any more of it than if we lost a recruit to any other big school. We understand the allure of the Nebraska program. I for one am rooting for Riley. I respected him at Oregon state and I don't wish to see Nebraska in the cellar. I'm also looking forward to renewing our rivalry in a couple years.

He certainly did. He was the next in a line of Left tackles who went to the NFL. Ryan Miller's career didn't really work out, but Polumbus, Solder, and Bachtiari have had fine careers. In regards to potential Lewis was right there. I'd agree with you that he's spoiled his prospects though and it couldn't have happened to a better person. The kid's a spoiled narcissistic asshole.

The fact that Lewis is a captain tells you that there are many teammates that reflect his attitude, chip-on-the-shoulder. I hope Riley can hold enough of the team together to salvage some wins. Despite our obvious issues, there is still some talent on this team. Winning will cover over some of the team issues until Riley can recruit his own talent.

Pretty sure it was an air force guy... and while alex is prolly pretty crappy i wouldnt judge him based on that.

He slammed the guy's head into a cement wall. How can you possibly not judge a man based on that information? That is psychopathic behavior. He never should have been admitted to the University.

The Truth Hurts ! Good for him to say it! Kick him off the team? You must be kidding?
So it is on the fans that traveled to support the Huskers? Please, for the sake of anyone in your life who you may influence with that idiotic thinking.... just hang yourself.

And on the other side of the ball a true captain (Gangwish) was reported as going into the crowd and shaking hands...generally thanking the fans for their support. He's been very vocal about Lewis as well.....not representing the team at all on social media.

He doesn't now. I'd like to see another tackle get a shot.

wasn't aware that you were there...

isn't all behavior in a fight "psychopathic" ?

Let me dust off my psych degree for you, boys. What Lewis has is a clear case of just being an ass. In every situation, his first concern seems to be how he can make it ALLLLLL about him. So call that Narcissistic Personality if you want to, but in layman's terms, he's childish.

But hey, maybe he's smarter than all of us. His play as an OT is totally forgettable, so maybe this is his way of ensuring he has a legacy at NU.....

Not that Lewis deserves much defense on this, but that whole situation was a sham. It was a standard run of the mill fight. The Air Force kid was posting pictures of himself on Facebook that night and he didn't look bad at all. The funniest thing was how our QB Jordan Webb had assault charges on him and he literally couldn't walk. Apparently a member of our armed forces is so weak that a quarterback fresh out of knee surgery was able to assault him. A kid so evil and malicious that after college he is now running a last chance dog shelter where he goes around adopting dogs that have ran out of time at other dog shelters. It really was nothing more than a fight. The Boulder DA is complete dog crap and any charges that stuck, and pleas that went into that case were nothing more than two kids just trying to appease an overzealous DA and to make it go away.

Biggest rival? We were no longer in the same conference when he was even at CU. Though you might have something in regards to his character.

Good lord man. He came here right at the transition. What difference does it make? Do you really think Colorado fans just automatically had a change of heart because we had a change of conference? At this point most CU fans don't care 2 bits about Nebraska, but in 2011 they did. Does that sound so hard to fathom? I mean to boot, at this point we still don't have a conference rival in the PAC 12, probably won't for 20 years
