Who will the little 12 add next?

Well, if it were up to some on this board. Nebraska.😒
Personally, if you add ASU, Arizona, Utah, and Nebraska and you jettison West Virginia and UCF (who were only added to patch holes and aren't geographic fits) you have a really solid conference with multiple games in primary recruiting territory for NU.
Don't be surprised if Missouri and maybe Arkansas start thinking about leaving the overcrowded and impossibly competitive SEC. I think Colorado started a trend of accepting that some conferences just aren't good fits for their athletics programs and they will never be able to succeed at a reliably high level there.
What will be the future of OU and Texas? We'll see.

There's that, and if you want Washington in your conference you have to take Washington State per their state constitution, or that is what I read last.

The balloon is going to burst in time. The money is going to dry up starting with the collapse of ESPN. Their money supply is shrinking with people cutting the cable and with Disney hemorrhaging money doesn't help. ESPN was getting money from people who never watched their channel and those days are gone. If they go strictly streaming their revenues will drop even more, which means less monies for rental contracts paid to the college conferences and professional sports leagues. I think this will be the last huge money telecast rights deal for the B1G and other conferences. In about 15 years you will see the conferences go back to a smaller footprint due to the traveling costs of the minor sports. Ebb and flo of life...
A bill was introduced in January but not much else has happened.

"A bill proposed in this year’s legislative session seeks to Washington and Washington State at the hip with regards to conference realignment and ultimately give state lawmakers input in decision-making.

The bill would require UW and Wazzu to compete in the same conference. The board of regents for both schools could jointly recommend moving to a new conference, but such a move would be subject to approval by the state legislature, the bill states.

Sen. Drew MacEwen, R-Shelton, is the primary sponsor of the measure. He’s joined by Jeff Holy, R-Spokane, and Sam Hunt, D-Olympia.

...“At the end of the day, the Legislature has got to approve it. The intent of that is that we would keep the two schools together to preserve the traditions that have existed since statehood between the two schools. I look at it from that viewpoint that one can’t leave without the other.”

Washington might be forced to stay in a collapsing PAC 12 if the B1G doesn't want to take Washington State.

This reminds me of the talk that OU couldn't leave OSU or the Cali schools couldn't be split. At the end of the day most people come to the reality that it doesn't make sense to sink multiple state universities to try and improve the status of 1.

I wouldn't be surprised if eventually the Big 10 takes Washington now that they have them by the balls. Make them take a revenue share that is smaller than other Big 10 members but better than the Pac 12. Then run them through the new guy schedule where they play Michigan, OSU, us, USC to maximize viewers.

If Arizona to the Big 12 is true this gives the Big 10 even more leverage with Oregon and Washington to accept a structured membership similar to Nebraska’s deal.

I think that is exactly what they will do. And at that point UW will be happy to take it and happy to get to play OSU and Michigan every year for the first couple of years.

Unless the B1G is forced to take Washington State in a package deal with Washington. In that case, the B1G might take Stanford or Arizona State instead of Washington.

That seems incredibly unlikely. The bill that was introduced in the WA legislature last year went nowhere, which isn't a surprise.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see the benefit of adding two middle of the road programs from non-sports areas that will take more revenue than they produce

Just make a rule that they have to play every year out of conference?

I'd love to see the Big 12 add Nebraska and ND. Shaping up to be kind of a nice little league...minus a couple blue bloods.
Would be nice. Nebraska would have to be willing to play with less money. I hope the revenue starts to even out or everyone comes together under one banner so regional position comes back into it. But that is likely not going to happen.

Nah….commons sense will come into play and they will stop paying obscene money to coaches and overblown facilities before Coferemces trim teams.
