Funny thought, but a lot of us were ripping old man Whipple when he was pushing hard for Purdy last year. I was on the side that Purdy couldn’t hit the side of a barn and I wasn’t the biggest fan of Whipple. But after this past week(s), it sure looks like Whipple saw something in him and ended up being right about this one. Not saying he’s the future starter, just saying he seems to have more potential than I thought.
