Last I heard we were a #2 projected seed in Lubbock
Better to be a high 3 seed than a low 2
I'm assuming he's talking about regional placements... may be better to be a 3 seed in an easier regional than a 2 seed in a harder one...2 seeds are home team in first round. 3 seeds Batter up.

Sorry, no dog in the fight. Just trying to explain where he might be coming from. What is Oregon State as an overall seed? I know there aren't any easy regionals, but some are going to be more challenging than others, no?There isn't any easy regionals. We just happen to have won our conference... So I imagine that helped get us a 2 seed, would you rather have had Nebraska not win the conference.
If that scoring trend continues we'll beat them 4 - 2.5I guess if you're looking for a positive in us being sent to play the best team in the country-at least we are somewhat familiar with them having played them twice already this season(losing 10-1 and 5-2).
I wish I had time to look at all the schedules to see which regionals have the most number of regular season rematches. Throw in our 2 games against Oregon State, and the Corvallis regional seems like strange repeat first-round matchups.Probably not a big deal as far as the Huskers are concerned - but how on God's green Earth did Yale and Holy Cross end up in the same regional, when they played each other six times in the regular season?

I'll go out on the limb and say that the Corvallis regional leads the pack in this category, though I'm not going to look it up either.I wish I had time to look at all the schedules to see which regionals have the most number of regular season rematches. Joke of the year!!!Maybe the NCAA wants both teams to take the same plane to save money so they can eventually give it to the student athletes? They will probably refuel in Lincoln and pick up the Huskers to help with this effort.
