What's with all the talk about how bad our talent is

I'm not a Bo fan and you know that. Tell me which of the teams we lost to, did we not have enough talent to beat? We were competitive in every game, had leads in the last minute of several of those games, but weren't talented enough to win them. Again, great logic.
There's plenty of data available out there that shows the lack of talent NU has and how shitty ass teams/programs like Purdue match up fairly well. I'll educate you and the other blotards some time Sunday.

It is so simple...

Teams with better talent win more than they lose
Teams with less talent lose more than they win
When the teams talent is equal or close to equal (Iike the Purdue game and MSU game) coaching is usually the deciding factor.

I don't think the talent level is that far off. If the talent level was so bad, we would not have been competitive all year long. Might not have won these games, but they were competitive. It is possible to win with lesser talent on a consistent basis, but it takes great coaching which we don't have. Hardest part about this season is the fact of the players not being bought in for the entire season as they did improve over the course of the season. Offense could move the ball on great defenses and the defense could stop a good offense towards the end.
So you are already done with this staff. They are not good coaches after this season . I'm not saying I was happy with everything. Not by a long shot. But if you really look at the fact we were in every game and the rash of injuries and new systems. I guess I'm not ready to say they are not goog coaches yet. IMO

Riley, Cavanaugh, Byod, McKewon, ect.. does this fit the brick by brick rebuild vision? Does it help justify the losses to Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, BYU, Iowa which have inferior talent?
Miami had more speed and talent, that game shouldn't have been that close. Iowa, who knows, but the rest were winnable if not for key mistakes by players or coaching decisions. A lot of new scheme unfamiliarity. Next year should be better if we have a D-line.

Epley was talking about NU not being where it needed to be talent wise to improve from what we have seen for over a decade. Boyd is very good at watching the Huskers play and knowing where they are at. I would think he will be at the spring game making an assessment, he did it every year when he was here before. Then he fine tuned the summer workouts from that. Winter workouts used to be about adding muscle and explosiveness and summer was for fine tuning. If he's not furthering Philipp's knowledge behind the scenes NU is making a huge mistake not tapping his knowledge.
