What's up Jamire Calvin?

While I understand the assertion, let me play Devil's Advocate if I am Mike Leach. I pull out tape of what I did with an undersized Wes Welker and what I did with a slight of frame Danny Amendola in the middle of proverbial nowhere Lubbock and note how much money I will get you to make even if no one sees you do it.

Touché and then Mike Riley and Keith Williams could come back with slot receivers Riley has gotten to the next level and Williams can rattle off all the NFL guys he works with in the offseason.

Social media was targeted towards the younger generation to begin with. Facebook started out for college kids only then branched out. Twitter followed shortly after. I would say its the adults that need to lay off the social media.
Good luck making that happen. It's more realistic for a kid to give up social media if it's going to just make a decision tougher to make.

Pullman, Washington in the middle of nowhere. He was told if you come to WSU you can catch over 100 passes a season.
It brings me back to looking at the timing of his original Oregon St. swerve coinciding with news breaking among the all-stars that Lindsay was going to Nebraska... makes me wonder if more competition for playing time pulled him away from NU. Let's face it. PT and who one will compete against for PT is a common factor many kids look at.

Maybe Pullman Washington is a better place for him? Still hopes he comes to NU and no bad wishes for the kid so don't get me wrong.

Over 300 posts if you combine a handful of threads..... I guess he has our attention. I will give him no more until he actually contributes to the success of Husker Football.

I wish him well wherever he ends up, but kid, if you're reading this...you're making a switch from spending the next 4 years of your life being mentored by Mike Riley to Mike Leach?? From a class act to a lounge act? You're making a decision about where you'll spend the best years of your life, playing football at a level that most of us can only dream of--what kind of coach do you want leading you, and who are you going to trust to care about your well-being both on and off the field once you've signed on the dotted line? Choose wisely.

Thanks for posting. I've heard he read your post and is at this very moment packing his bags for Lincoln, NE. I think we would be foolish to credit anyone other than you and your plea on the eve of NSD. We all owe you a great deal of gratitude. Uggghhh...

I hope he stays committed to NU but if he changes his mind we just move on. We are going to have a very good recruiting class on signing day with or without him.

As of Tuesday, he's gone. All I know is, 25 minutes is enough time for him to change his mind.

That said, I'll just see what happens. It really has to suck for your job to depend on kids like this. They hold more cards than even their exploding heads will ever know.

You are a complete tool. I don't think even 17 year old kids are flighty enough to place one ounce of stock in what anonymous message board posters write (let alone make life-altering decisions based on our collective wisdom), but seriously: eff you. Next time I'll just rip the kid for wavering in his decision-making process so I can earn your approval.

Sorry, I was probably a little too rough on you. How about just not addressing the kid at all, and keeping your self-respect. Sorry, people shouldn't be giving advice to recruits in any form of social media, IMO. They have parents to give them advice. How often do you give advice to a complete stranger, because that is what these kids are to us.

I was being facetious--like a tongue-in-cheek stage whisper at the thought of putting up with Mike Leach instead of someone like Coach Riley. It wasn't meant to be an actual game changing moment for a recruit to read, lol. But I appreciate your follow-up post; sorry that I went off. Just bad satire on my part (somewhere, a National Lampoon writer is shaking his head scornfully).
