The only thing we know is that it won't be cheap. Something north of what Frost was originally getting. I hope it has a heavy incentive element to it based on number of wins each season BUT that's just me.

I would think that his new contract could be affected by that $40 million dollar buyout. He can stay out of coaching and get that money guaranteed. I figure that was the sticking point in Trev's on again, off again, and on again courtship of Rhule.

I wonder if Rhule's talk about staying out of coaching for a while got Carolina's money people stirred up. Then Rhule's agent and the Panthers came to an agreement. Maybe the Panthers give Rhule $10 million to get him off the books instead of the $40 if Rhule sat out.

But my guess is $40 million over five years base plus incentives.
