What the run game offense will look like under Satterfield and Rhule. Spring practice schedule

Well they claim they want to be physical and run the ball. And we went from super thin at TE to potentially having 2 studs. So I'm going to guess 2 TE sets with a heavy dose of Grant and Allen. The tackle issue won't he solved overnight so this would allow them to be more versatile while keeping CT or Sims from getting killed. I'm also assuming they didn't recruit a #1 TE to sit Fidone on the bench.

But I don't know. I tried to watch some temple stuff. Never got to S carolina.

I remember his Baylor offense. That was a high scoring fun offense to watch.

Two 2 TE sets with Washington and Betts/Fleeks and 1 TE sets with Kemp in the slot. Seems like a nice lineup on paper. Hopefully Fidone and Gilbert can help the OL.

It really does look like a nice lineup on paper. So much potential if they can get the oline on track and call some plays that don't set the oline up for failure. Certainly enough experience on the line that they should be able to figure out how to move the ball. Not sure if there has been a team that has 2 #1 TE recruits on the roster at the same time? It would be a godsend to utilize that.

No offensive scheme will work if the offensive line is sub par. When was the last time we had an offensive line that wasn't sub par? I am very curious to see if the line improves significantly this year. If it doesn't we will struggle to score no matter how innovative the new offense is. And if we are going to run power football then we better damn well have a line that is powerful. Will we? I will remain skeptical until I see it.

It all starts up front.

I am also skeptical but cautiously optimistic. We add Scott, who is proven, and the German kid. We didn't really lose anything Imo. And I think half of running the ball is scheme and determination. Whipple had a terrible scheme and no determination to run the ball.

When you line up and can't gain 1 stinking yard straight ahead in the trenches you have a shit offense and a shit O line. They need to toughen up and start dominating again.

There will be some carryover from South Carolina and Baylor. But honestly if we are going to try to compare what his offense is most likely to look like it is likely his Temple offense. And based on his comments I feel like it will not be 1:1 exactly. Matt Rhule's strength is adapting to the place and weather that he is at. When at Baylor, throw the ball around. When he was in colder areas more grounding and pounding. His Temple teams that I watched (2015 and 2016) were top ten in Time of Possession. He still threw it a fair amount. 2015 was 52% running and 2016 was 56% I think.

I also think there was video of Fidone watching Temple tape, not Baylor, South Carolina, or Panther games, along with the fact that I think it was Ted Carter? Told Matt Rhule to just make us like his Temple teams were. Also the fact that we have a FB says a lot as well.

We better have a good run game when we meet Colorado. They'll probably have two 5*'s on the corners.

A true Freshman and a transfer from an HBCU. I bet we see several better CB duos over the course of the season.
"transfer from an HBCU" omits some relevant context, considering he was the #1 overall player in the '22 class

imagine referring to Raiola as "the kid who played at 3 different high schools"

LMAO very funny

I don't think much of the South Carolina stuff will be relevant considering defenses had to first and foremost gameplan for a sure-fire NFL draft pick under center who possesses one of the strongest arms in all of college football

I agree I think - especially if Sims is our QB - we will see a lot of similarities to Temple with PJ Walker, who was a very similar prospect to Sims (minus the hype/stars). big body, strong but erratic arm.

Do we have a Robbie Anderson type who can go get it 1on1 & stretch the field? we'll see

Would a highly rated transfer from an HBCU, with worse stats than Malcolm Hartzog, as a true freshman be more accurate?
I don't think it would be a stretch to call Hunter what he is - a former #1 overall prospect

nobody would confuse you for a Deion lover

leaving that stuff out out of pure spite makes me LOL. absolutely hilarious

And choosing to frame the kid the way you do (ignoring the level of competition he played against and his stats doing it) because of your 24-hour erection for the CU coach is a joke.

framing?

he was the #1 overall prospect in 2022. that is a fact, not a frame.

you are doing gymnastics to avoid calling him what he is because of your all-consuming hate for Deion - something I find hilarious

@mikecanale was right - CU will be talented on the outside

Your man crush and creepy ass obsession with the coach at Colorado is what is hilarious.

I called the kid exactly what he is, a transfer from a HBCU, with 19 tackles and 2 INT, playing against a very low level of competition. That is a fact.

okay. sure.

haven't posted about him since you last claimed I was obsessed with him

you, on the other hand......

keep up the bizarre work. hope we beat CU by a billion & your very hurt butt heals sometime this millennium.

Sure you do, LOL.

Me on the other hand what? I don't post about him, don't care. Who brought up the guy in this thread?

You sure go out of your way to defend him, even if he isn't being talked about.

yep. sure. if you say so.

calling the #1 prospect in 2022 the #1 prospect in 2022 is now defending Deion and I'm a CU fan

absolute bullet proof reasoning.

like I said, keep up the bizarre work, weirdo. I'd like to get back on topic.

Well, the rest of us were on the topic, actually talking football until you ran to rescue your boyfriend from imaginary attacks

Again who brought up the coach from CU? Not me. And why does it offend you to point out Travis Hunter's level of competition and stats last year? Why is his prior recruiting ranking more relevant? Probably has nothing to do with your man crush coaching the Buffs, right?

now in addition to being a CU fan I'm offended. whatever you say

I was simply agreeing with @mikecanale 's post, which is accurate

your downplaying it had nothing to do with the players and everything to do with their coach. if those 2 were our corners, you'd be touting them as future 1st rounders.

now, Deion-obsessed psycho, can we get back to the run game convo (assuming you have anything worthwhile to add (doubtful))?

I guess I would like to see how many PBUs or even how many times opponents even threw his way, before being skeptical of his numbers at the HBCU level. If he took away an entire side of the field, he was doing his job.

I'm actually talking football and providing facts, your just hijacking yet another thread with your "Coach Prime' obsession. You could actually contribute something, by actually talking football at any point, but we all know you won't/can't.

thanks in advance

Keep up the obsession little guy nothing creepy as shit about it. I'm sure you can find a way to bring your hero into every goddam thread on the board. Your first post about actual football will be your first.

what the f*ck are you talking about?

nobody on this site has posted more about Deion than you, ya soft bitch

I would also have to see something that showed he dominated at HBCU before anointing him as a great player, based solely on his HS recruiting ranking. Maybe he will be a great CB at CU, but proclaiming that he and a true freshman will make it impossible to pass the ball in week 2 seems to be jumping to conclusions to me (no matter who the coach is).

@headcard do you have thoughts on this actual football post?

or is the toxic shock syndrome too far gone?
