Remind us all again the last time Iowa got “smoked” by Nebraska? You’re an idiot.
Last year? When NU basically picked the score.
And Iowa had their QB fake an injury so they could put the backup in without getting their OC in hot water.
And where they REFUSED to put their "star" CB on Palmer because they knew how bad it would look and instead let NU just toss all over them?
And last year, when their "star" LBer was so scared of Thompsons speed to the outside that he literally froze like a bitch and put his hand up in the air.
That game was over after the first 4 minutes.
I get it… Neb. dominated the 1st half.
But, it was a one-score game with several minutes left.
Final 24-17. “Smoked” is hilarious.
Iowa has been horribly inept and incapable on offense for years but yeah, you DID manage to beat the Hawks last year. By one score. Good job.
What's hilarious is losing to a lame-duck interim coach and a 4-8 team. It didn't really shock you though, did it? Ferentz is only in his 25th season, he'll figure it out. Osborne went 13-0 and won his 3rd natty in his 25th season, Ferentz has time to get there if you guys are just patient.

Not entirely correct. For a 5 win Husker team beating Iowa means a bowl game. Something you haven’t sniffed in awhile and confirmation that maybe Rhule is on the right track to bring back respectable football to Lincoln. For Iowa, it could mean another West Division Championship unless the Hawks have already locked it down by beating Illinois this Saturday. Then you will be half right, the game won’t mean much to the Hawks, but everything to Nebraska trying to beat Iowa for the second time in nearly a decade. Good luck.
