Urban is a racist?
Come on fellow Nebraska fan, it’s against the board rules to start unfounded rumors. As a Nebraska fan you know there’s only one valid (independent report has confirmed) open lawsuit against a bigten west team alleging the coaches actively promoted a racist culture within the football program. Don’t see how Iowa doesn’t end up paying the players to settle. Oh well, as Nebraska fans we can be thankful our program is only paying incompetent coaches. Must suck for Iowa fans to have all the scandals of a major player with none of the success.

So we're talking about Urban Meyer being the next head coach at NE, and out of the blue you make the massive leap to Iowa. Dear lord you have a sick obsession dude, seek help, that's just not healthy. I know losing to them 9 years in a row really sucks but I'm sure some year NE will beat them again.

Is it healthy to pretend to be a husker fan when you’re really a fan of Iowa and its’ racist culture? I’m here to expose dipsh1t trolls and now we know that’s all you are.

We had a chance, during that covid year, before all the reshuffling of the Big 12. Heck, we could have moved and already been invited to the SEC too, but that window is gone.

The only hope of getting out of this conference, is for a better conference to form or to be kicked out.

Unfortunately, for the administration, it's not about winning football anymore. Try as they may, to fit in to this conference, UNL will never be seen in the same standing academic wise, or any other metric for that matter, and will always be seen as the black sheep of the conference.

So in hindsight, we went from being a big influencer of one conference to being an outcast of another. Probably one of the worst ill fated decisions in Nebraska history. A program that sold out.

Why? You have one of the most storied traditions in the weaker division of the most lucrative conference in college football. If your bonehead coach would get out of his own way, you guys would be just fine.

to the Big 12

It'll help us out in recruiting since we can recruit Texas kids better. At least save them from the dumpster fire in Austin. And we can beat up on some other purple cats.
If you are not in the Big 10 or SEC you are not in a good place.

Following this year’s OU game, frost will be 0-5 vs non-B1G P5 schools (maybe 0-4)

if we were in an actual football conference he may genuinely be 0-45 right now

It's the nostalgic effect. It's just like how we all wish we could go back to our childhoods. We remember the good ole days. People remember the days of Nebraska being a power. Winning with the option, wishbone, walkon program, weight lifting advantages. The days where Kansas State, Iowa State were walkovers. Heisman winners like Eric Crouch.

Facts are the downfall began long before 2011. I think it began the day Colorado dismantled Nebraska in Boulder. Then Miami took that option attack apart in the National Title game. The mystique was smashed. The bullies got punched. Solich wasn't going to win a title. Then you hired a west coast NFL mind, he recruited well because of his NFL pedigree and the brand still being strong. But Nebraska officially lost it's identity that day. It's never gonna be the way it was, the option attack will never be a viable offense for title contention. There will never be another Big 8 from the same region. Recruiting isn't even regional anymore. Florida, Texas, California are all getting picked apart from schools like Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson. It's not about what it was. Kids have smart phones, social media, access to streaming services where all forms of entertainment are available. You can live in New York and stream a game in Hawaii. The 90's are never coming back.

You can visit it by watching old videos. But you can't ever live back there again. Move on.
We can run power football without any option. Toss sweep, ISO, counter trey, etc.

Hiring the best damn coach is just an educated guess. Its like electing a politician and thinking they will represent the voters or hiring a CEO and expecting wonders. Barry Switzer once said, "its not about the X's and O's but rather the Jimmys and Joes". We do not have enough good Jimmys and Joes. Get good O linemen and good D linemen and the rest will be solved. That being said, pretty hard to get them when one does not win ball games. Seems like very few great linemen come from Nebraska and Iowa anymore but somehow Iowas makes it work. Tough situation we find ourselves in.
not many great o-lineman come from Iowa. Do the names Brandon Scherff, Tristan Wirfs, Marshall Yanda, and or Kayden Proctor sound familiar?
